Ricketts is a bone disease that is primarily caused by a lack of vitamin D and can sometimes result in fatal injuries. This is due to reduced daylight hours over winter months. If you haven’t already started supplementing then get in touch with the office today to discuss your options.

Guy has been turning his hand to the traditional skill of hedge laying. The hedge in the staff car park has been transformed over the last couple of weeks. Keep an eye out for his handy work!

Nutrition in late-pregancy is a balancing act between feeding enough to meet energy demands and over feeding, leading to big lambs and difficult lambing. Blood sampling ewes 3-4 weeks prior to lambing is a great tool to assess if the energy and protein requirements are being met, as well as assessing mineral status. Get in touch to discuss blood profiling on your farm and the funding schemes available.
