Yesterday I met the rudest lady I’ve ever come across in grooming lets call her karen
Didn’t start well with her holding her finger on the bell ! 😩stressing the dogs out, we had a dog in the shop that needed to go on lead before we opened the door which she could clearly see. 😠
Karen then persisted to ring the doorbell numerous times.
Opening the door by this time I wasn’t impressed
She’s after a price for her Bishon that’s with her who hasn’t seen a brush for a while let’s say!
Then asks if I’ve ever groomed one before 😩I did do I little chuckle !!
I tell her yes as I’ve been grooming for 18 + years and Bishon start at £50.
Karen then says in disgust why ? That’s very expensive it shouldn’t be that much . The last groomer was only £35!
Why am I so much more !
Fuming 😡 many reasons it’s
£50 For2 hours this is not expensive
Karen I have a town centre premises let’s take out the rent
Rates, insurancesx 3, water, electric bank charges, card machine charges, bin collection, heating, on gonging training, equipment, top quality products, cleaning, wages, pension, telephone, internet, maintenance
Covid repayments might of missed a few.
That leaves well not bloody much so £50 is not expensive it essential and Frankly should be a lot more .
The reason you paid £35 is the reason you’re at my door looking for a new groomer you get what you pay for!
New groomers know your worth these low prices undermine the difficult hard work we do.
It takes a lot to run a small business and having clients that value you and the service you provide is key to success
