Children MUST be accompanied by a FULL Paying adult no exceptions.

£5 per head. This charge is due to rise next term to keep in line with our costs.

We will still remain the cheapest around for these experiences.

Ok so back in stock are these fabulous Vivariums.

They are 4x2x2 OR 4ftx18x18inch.

They are made by clear seal and are absolutly top quality. Solid well made bit of furniture in a variety of colours.

We have in stock Boston grey, Kendal oak and Grey Bardolino.

For snakes we advise extra security around vents and cages on lighting which can be fitted in store just ask us for info.

We can also do a full fit of all internals just ask for the package price of electricals and furniture in store.

Deposit secures and we can do local delivery so pop in for yours 😊

1) Due to many time waster’s i have made a few changes that are with immediate affect.

**Call into shop for information on any reptile and speak directly to victoria or sophie. **

2) Shop floor customers who make the effort to call in to store have priority over phone or messages.

3) Proof of adequate for species set up required and is non negotiable ! On any live reptile purchase.

You absolutly must have a Thermostat.

Thermostats control the heat for the welfare of the reptile!!!!

Thermometer’s take the temperature. They do not control it.

Yes there is a difference. If you are looking into getting a reptile you need to know this.

Yes all reptiles need some form of UVB lighting. NOT THE CHEAP CHINESE CRAP YOU BUY OFF AMAZON as it does not emmit uvb!!!

Really do not care what it said on the box or advert you bought from. They do NOT emmit UVB.

Visible light is not UVB so yes an old bulb may still turn on but it may NOT be emitting UVB

YES you absolutely need it for the health and welfare of your reptile.

The bulbs and T5 kits are 80% cheaper than getting the vet to fix your mistake!

Your viv needs to be of a decent size and in a good state of repair and must adhere to the AAL guidelines set by the government councils. As a minimum.

If you do not know what this is come and see me.

Once a deposit has been received you will have 14 days to make first payment then you can choose the remainder on weekly payments or 2 monthly payments to clear the balance.

No more ghosted holds on any reptile. You have 14 days to make contact and start payment plan. Or settle and collect.

🐉 Hopper 🐉

****Now adopted and has gone to his own home. ****

Bearded dragon, Pogona vitticeps

Just like in years gone by the very word “DRAGON” shrilled out to the villagers as a child swiftly appears franticly waving his arms. With a face moist from sweat and breath hard to catch he cries

“Dragon, it’s coming”

The bone chilling shriek pierces your ears, smoke tumbles around you and you are engulfed in embers and chaos as you scramble to find your way.

Dragon,

The Dragon is here.

In his all magnificent glory Hopper is a Dragon of times long forgotten.

One of which admiration with attentive observation richly controlled the keeping of such creatures.

He may not be of those tic tok floofy beasts that are cute and utterly superficial.

Hopper is a real beast with no floof.

Tamed and curious about his world Hopper hunts with a fierce stealth.

He is King of his land.

Affectionately takes the care of our resident Dragon tamers with careful consideration.

Un fazed by man or beast Hopper is and always shall be impressively confident in his own scales.

Even when the soppy blonde canine presents a ball to the mighty Hopper he will stand strong, lord of his land.

He Shall never play fetch.

However my dear readers, Hopper desires Love.

A fair maiden to call his own. A lap to adorn with his gloriousness. A home to possess.
Chin scratches to recieve and head strokes to claim.
As with all mighty beasts, once free roaming Hopper becomes a Sweetheart and will affectinatly follow you. Gazing into your heart full of admiration.

If you can relate perhaps you have what it takes to be Hoppers humanoid companion.

Feeding snakes **** DO NOT PANIC****

We have had several customers in this week,

“My snake is not eating”

First off it is really cold outside.

Check your temperature in your vivarium with a THERMOMETER.

Do not rely on the THERMOSTAT setting you must check the temps properly.

This time of year your thermostat is working hard.

It can wear out and stop working.

Check your temps manually !!!

Second,

Some snakes do not eat in winter month’s NATURALLY.

You can take a snake out of nature but you cannot take nature out of the snake.

****It will behave according to it’s surroundings. ****

Stop handling if you want it to eat and warm it up. The snake needs heat to digest its food correctly. If the weather is bitter cold the ambient temps in your room will not be sufficient. The snake also NEEDS to rest and be left alone to digest its dinner!!!

Only a few of us have special reptile rooms at home where the room temps are above 28’C

So again check your temperatures.

Work experience hard at it today on spot cleans and vivarium checks.

Fresh from college studying animal care and pet shop management level 3.
Christmas break is alomost over and we have got used to these chaps scurrying about so we will miss them on their return to collage next week.

Today we have covered all sorts in exotic animal care and the dreded paper records we keep.

At wrexham reptiles we provide an all round work experience with the reptiles and aquatics. Covering everything from natural habitats, captive habitats, health and welbeing of animal and keeper. Where to find proven science based information for further study and of course the correct way to handle with natural behaviours in mind.

This term’s workies have been outstanding!

Started from nothing.

All five of the crew have worked very hard, listened and then got on with the jobs. All have earn’t the vivarium keys quickly and have earnt the trust to be left alone to work.

We are very proud of all of you and want to wish you all the very best for next terms study.
