Lack of training leads to this ⬆️ especially with the industry NOT being regulated in any shape, way or form so no qualifications needed to do this job and we are not checked by anyone.
How safe is that? It’s not is it.
The only thing that keeps your dog safe is knowledge due to good training.
There is so much more to dog grooming than just a haircut.

Puppy vs Adult Coat ⬆️
Have you ever wondered why a dogs hair can become knotty so quickly especially when they reach the 6/12 month age? ⬆️
As they get older more hairs will appear and thicker the texture of your dogs coat will depend on genetics.
When we have puppy’s in for their introductions they don’t take long to dry but when they get older they take much longer due to the thickness of their coat so starting them off early with intros will get them used to everything in our salon in a gentle way.
As they get older we use more powerful dryers so we really do need to get them used to these otherwise it can potentially cause them a lot of undue stress.

Lungworm is a risk to your dog all year round, but especially when it's been rainy and the slugs and snails are more prominent! 🐌

Dogs can get infected by this parasitic worm by eating these insects or licking their slime trails. It might be what your dog deems a tasty treat, but it can be extremely dangerous and even become a chronic infection lasting many years.

If you suspect your dog has lungworm or is showing symptoms, call your vet immediately.

Bloat is dangerous so I’m just sharing some useful information from a vet.

In the past we always recommended raising the food bowl to lower the risk of bloat. Studies show this can be detrimental and in fact potentially increase the risk!

The only reason you may need to raise a food bowl to elbow height is if your dog has neck/back pain. Or it is raised to nose height if they have a condition such as megaoesophagus.
