🌟 Buster’s Comeback Story! 🌟
Meet Buster, the determined little Frenchie who has been working so hard on his hydrotherapy journey following major spinal surgery. 🐾💙
When Buster first arrived at the clinic, he was struggling with ataxia (wobbly, uncoordinated movements) and ambulatory paraparesis—meaning he could walk, but his back legs were weak and not fully under his control. 🐶💪
Fast forward to today, and just look at him go! 🚀 Thanks to months of dedicated hydrotherapy, Buster has been building strength, coordination, and confidence on the aquatic treadmill. His progress is incredible, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come! 🎉👏
Hydrotherapy plays a huge role in spinal rehab, helping to rebuild muscle, improve nerve function, and support safe, controlled movement—all while reducing strain on healing tissues. And Buster? He’s absolutely smashing it! 🏆🐕
Keep up the amazing work, Buster! 💙

🐾 Say hello to the amazing Jake Bear, our hydrotherapy superstar! 🌟 Jake takes a dip in the hydrotherapy pool to help manage his bilateral hip dysplasia—and he’s got his swimming technique down to a fine art! 🐶💦
💙 Why hydrotherapy in the pool?
The buoyancy of the water reduces the weight on Jake’s joints, making it easier for him to move comfortably. Plus, the resistance from swimming works wonders for strengthening his muscles and improving his range of motion—all while having a splashing good time! 🏊♂️🐾
🎥 Check out Jake paddling like a pro in the clips—he’s giving Olympic swimmer vibes! 🏅 Every session helps keep him active and happy, and we love seeing his progress. 🥰
If your furry friend needs a fun, low-impact way to stay fit or manage a condition, why not ask us about hydrotherapy? We’d love to help them make a splash too! 💙🐕

Who Remembers Bumblebee? 🐝✨
Last week, we shared Bumblebee’s relaxing massage and physio pamper session. Now, here they are again, back for a treadmill hydro session and working hard to keep those joints strong and healthy! 💦💪
Hydrotherapy helps maintain mobility, build strength, and protect Bumblebee’s joints—all while giving a fun, safe workout. We’re so proud of Bumblebee’s dedication to staying active and healthy!

Here's Daisy, back at the clinic for her regular hydrotherapy session! 🐾💦 She absolutely loves her swim, and there’s nothing that makes her happier than chasing her ball around the pool. Her enthusiasm and energy are always a joy to see, and she swims beautifully every time! Hydrotherapy is not only great fun for Daisy but also helps keep her fit and healthy.

Say hello to the adorable Dedenne! 😍 After spinal surgery, she’s been working on her strength with physio and hydro sessions. Her left side is a little weaker post-surgery, so we’re focusing on building up those stabilizers. Instead of the treadmill belt moving (she likes to rush!), we’re keeping it static and guiding her through gentle weaves and figure 8s in the water 💧—perfect for weight-bearing and building up her back legs! Treats definitely help with motivation 😅. Tailored treatments for every pup 🐾!
We think George might be enjoying his physio session!! 😂😂

The very cute 12 year old Pippa does some static swimming due to arthritic changes and a forelimb conformational deviation.. keeping her static for her sessions helps to put less torque through her elderly joints 💕❤️🥰

Sweet Norman was hit by a car at the beginning of this year. He was diagnosed by the vet as having brachial plexus (the site where the forelimb nerves originate) injury/avulsion & amputation was discussed. He lost sensation in the limb, muscle atrophied overnight & his limb started to contract. Norman's owners thankfully decided to go down the therapy route first & once the pain and swelling had subsided he started hydrotherapy in February. Nerves are very slow to heal (a rate of 1mm a day). The aim of his hydro was to rebuild muscle and regain range of motion in the limb so that when the nerves had healed he had a limb that could support him. It's been a long road with tiny improvements seen along the way but Norman's owners have kept faith & he is now finally able to bear weight on it again. Not all brachial plexus injuries recover even with the best help so we are so pleased for Norman and his owners!

Lovely Daphne is a very special case. She had a disc extrusion (slipped disc) in her back leaving her paraplegic. Daphne’s spinal cord was so badly damaged that she still has no sensation past her waist and no communication between her brain & her hind limbs. The movement seen here is an involuntary action by the hindlimb reflexes which are recruiting the muscles into a walking sequence in a phenomenon called “spinal walking.” Not every dog with Daphne’s condition harnesses spinal walking but physiotherapy, hydrotherapy & Daphne’s owners hard work at home are all helping to reinforce those reflexes & strengthen this action. We are all rooting for her, she is such a special girl ❤️❤️❤️
Daphne's owners are trying to raise a little money to help with Daphne's recovery, if anyone would like to donate a few pennies I'm sure they'd be grateful 🙏🏻
