Last day of the summer holidays for this one before she heads off to big school tomorrow, and what better way to finish than by being my little helper for the day 🐶🐕🐕‍🦺

Our superstar Poppy is a total and utter natural and absolutely adores all the doggies, and goodness me don’t they adore her as well! 🥰
She makes me feel such an unbelievably proud dad, in fact I couldn’t possibly be any more proud, love her to bits ❤️🫶

I don’t know if you any of you lovely people out there are looking to add a new pup into your homes, but I’ve recently met the most unbelievably adorable (seriously!! 😍😍😍) litter of miniature poodles who were born less than a fortnight ago to a beautiful pair of doggies I looked after earlier this summer 🐶🐶🥰
They are local and the lovely owners have asked me to share this advert so if anybody might be interested please let me know and I can give you more information 🐶

Our much loved family pet Aura has had a stunning litter of Miniature Poodles puppies. Aura is a pedigree Phantom Merle Miniature Poodle, she has the most loving temperament. Dad Monty is also our much loved family pet. He is KC registered with a 5 generation pedigree and is PRA clear, as this is

Well that was a pretty emotional week, the first one without our little Clive waiting for me when got home with his cuddles at the ready, sniffing my shoes to see which doggies I’d seen that day and of course in anticipation of whatever treats I’ve got left in my pocket 😋😢

Thankfully I have the best job possible and have been getting the very best therapy all week - lots and lots of doggie cuddles, and there really is nothing like it!! 🐶🥰

Nothing will ever replace the cuddles from Clive that I’m missing so, so much, the way he’d snuggle right in and grumble away in a state of sheer bliss until he was snoring away down my earhole, but this lot definitely gave it a good go and I had some pretty amazing ones from so many of our incredible furry friends so please thank them all from the bottom of my heart for being so utterly wonderful as they’ve really helped me through the most difficult of weeks, absolutely precious the lot of them and I’m so blessed to have them all as my mates 🐶❤️

And now for a well deserved and very much needed break as next week is my one week off for the year so Sunday morning I’ll be heading off for a bit of quality family time together in the sun, to recharge the batteries, eat and drink too much and apart from some splashing about do as little as possible - and actually get to enjoy the sunshine without having to worry about it being too hot for the doggies as it has been recently! 🛫🏖️☀️🥳

I’ll miss them all of course (you know you really love your job when you actually look forward to the getting back to work bit 😊) but I’ll see them in a couple of weeks and tell them all about it for sure, and hopefully they’ll miss me a little bit too 🐶

As Poppy so beautifully said yesterday, this will be the first time we’ve been abroad as a family without having to leave Clive behind at home, this time he’ll be coming with us in our hearts 💗

And just wanted to say thank you once more to everybody for all the kinds messages and words about our little guy, it really means so much and I’ve been quite overwhelmed by all the support so thank you all so much, you’re awesome!! 🫶

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for all the lovely comments and messages that we’ve received over the weekend, I’ve been reading them over and over and it really does mean the world to us to know that our beautiful little doggie touched so many hearts so thank you so much ❤️

I just wish you all could have met Clive, but at least I know that if it hadn’t been for him then I wouldn’t have met a lot of you as it was him that made me fall in love with dogs and he was without doubt my total inspiration for ever becoming a dog walker in the first place, which is yet another reason to be so grateful to him 🙏

It’s been quite an emotional few days in our house - who knew how heart wrenching grating cheese and actually having to sweep the bits up off the floor for the first time in 15 years would be? 😭 - and it just seems so strange and quiet without him and all his little noises around the house, but we’re talking to him as if he’s still here all the time and we’ll never, ever forget him and just how amazing he was 🐶

Thank you all again so much from the bottom of my heart for all the positivity, especially to Jane Elston for the fantastic crochet she made us, it’s just so beautiful and thoughtful I was genuinely touched beyond words 🥰

And finally please make sure you hold onto your precious pooches tight and tell them how much you love them as they really are the most precious things of all, there is genuinely nothing in life like a dog’s love and their only fault is that they’re just not with us for long enough 😢

Amidst our short heatwave last week I was at least able to make a fantastic new discovery as while
in the hunt for a shady spot to take the doggies to keep them cool and out of the 25 degree sunshine (the enclosed fields I often hire offer absolutely no shade at all 😏) I came across this incredible place called Wagdale, and I honestly can’t believe I’d not been there before, it’s absolutely brilliant!!

It’s a huge three acre site with around a quarter of it woodland which is where we hung out (apart from popping out to take the first photo at the end one day, really love that little touch they’ve added and couldn’t resist!) so there is lots of shade and sniffs for all the doggies and loads of activities for them to do, so much so they hardly noticed I’d left the balls in the van for once so we all had an absolute whale of a time - so much so that I actually went there on three different days and really looking forward to being able to use the whole field in future now that it’s cooled down a bit ⚽️

Honestly can’t recommend Wagdale highly enough, it was absolutely perfect for us, it’s kept in immaculate condition with loads of 💩 bins and the parking and entry setup is spot on as well, great value too and without doubt the best field hire I’ve ever used and can’t wait for lots more fun games with some of our Waggy Tails legends 🦮🐕‍🦺🐶🐕🐩🥳

So the group stages are out of the way and we have our 16 qualifiers all geared up for the knockout stages.

Sadly we had to say goodbye to Dodger & Blue,
Cooper, Beau, Maisie, Spencer & Hattie, Ozzy, Bentley and RiffRaff after their teams were eliminated, though Cooper does at least have the slightly dubious glory of having the worst team (Scotland, 1 point and -5 goal difference) so wins himself £4 to spend on whatever he likes 😋

Phew, it sure has been a scorcher this week!! 🥵🥵
This is without doubt the very worst weather for us dog walkers, it’s been far too hot for our usual group walk capers down the park and with the safety of our furry friends being THE most important thing as always we’ve been cancelling lots of non-essential walkies and instead been doing garden visits, trips to the river for a dip or spending lots of time in the shady woods getting bitten by mozzies - every day I forget to take repellent out with me 😩

Been great catching up with this absolute beauty who always loves her walkies wherver she goes - happiest doggie ever she is, totally and utterly love Roxy to bits 🐶❤️

Just realised this evening watching the opening game (bad luck Scotland 😢) that I’ve not set up a sweepstake for the Waggy Tails doggies as I usually do with the big tournaments, but I guess it’s not too late as I always draw the teams after they’ve all been taken anyway so I’ll do one this weekend as long as I can get enough doggies interested 🐕

It’ll be £2 for a team, the winner will receive £30, runner-up £14 and then £4 to the statically worst team.

We’ve had a few more fabulous new furry friends join the family in the past few months that I’ve not yet introduced so please welcome this amazing little dude called Darwin, and oh my goodness what a total sweetheart he is 🐶❤️

He’s the first I’ve walked in the six years of my adventures so was super excited to meet him and he’s just been brilliant so far 👌
He’s settled in fantastically well and absolutely LOVES his group walkies with his new mates, and we all absolutely adore him too, so much fun and utterly adorable so welcome to the gang you little superstar 🐶🌟
