If you don’t want to go home we a campsite - Walnut Tree Meadow - and with just seven pitches you can really spread out and enjoy the space and tranquility. New for 2021 is the dog swimming pool run by Canine Dip & Dive Wymondham and the Small Animal Clinic for rehabilitation massage and therapy. It's hard to believe we are just one mile from the bustling town of Wymondham with its heritage attractions, fabulous pubs and eateries, high street shops, supermarkets and independent retailers. It appears I need to make it clear that the social field is NOT intended as a venue for dog trainers to run classes.
These activities should be held on Train & Play for the safety and enjoyment of all users of the social field.
I have been informed of an incident today with an out of control dog that appeared to be in a training class situation but was not responding very well to direction.
It does clearly state on the rules on the fence that dogs should not be allowed to bully other dogs and should be kept under control if they show behaviour like this.
If you are paying a trainer for a class then the trainer should have the decency to book the Train & Play field and not take advantage of the ‘free’ one. It is not in the spirit of our decision to offer a field for use for sociable dogs to play off lead.
Large breed meets should also be held on Train & Play. The goldens meet every week on a Wednesday and it only costs £1 each a time to meet the cost of hiring the field but it means they are not dominating the social field.
Thank you for your understanding.
