Hi and welcome to The Gentle Dog Company. I am a dedicated, passionate and caring animal lover, lucky enough now semi retired from a long teaching career, to be able to dedicate my days to working with some of the most beautiful little creatures on the planet. I am licensed by SBC (in process of renewal) qualified in canine first aid and am fully insured.
I’ve worked with dogs and animals in many different capacities over the years as an owner, professional walker, home boarder and foster carer for the R.S.P.C.A. I have a wide variety of experience with different breeds and temperaments and enjoy ongoing success with puppy socialisation and socialisation for anxious or fearful dogs. I’m proud to say my walks are stimulating, safe, enjoyable and fun and importantly of different types and doggy mixes to suit the needs of different dogs.
I provide small group walks or 1:1 as preferred: from working breeds who enjoy our more robust countryside walks, to the ‘teeny tinys’ as I call them who at times (certainly not always) prefer something a little calmer and more sedate, or just being together with other little ones. Not forgetting of course carefully staged walks for the young puppies just starting out on their adventures in life and building happy doggy friendships.
Home from Home boarding is as it says on the tin. After a careful process of introduction to me, my dogs and my home over time before your holiday, your dog lives as a member of my family . I only provide boarding for a very small number at one time which enables me to provide exactly what I would want for my own dogs in terms of care, supervision, walking and love.
