Helpful health tip :
Did you know you shouldn't walk or play with your dog straight after they've eaten? Doing this can cause your dog to get bloat which is when the dogs stomach fills with gas, food or fluid & causes the stomach to twist, this can be fatal & may need surgical intervention if able to be corrected, so it's always best to either walk or play with your dog on an empty stomach or wait atleast 30 minutes after a small snack. 1 hour after a small meal. 2 to 3 hours after a medium/large meal.

I'm extremely lucky that I can continue to dog walk & sit the XL bully as alot of pet professionals insurance policies are not covering this at all. However to all my XL bully owners please kindly read the terms & conditions of my business insurance as I will have to abide by these terms in order for my insurance to actually be valid. DOGS IN THE HOT WEATHER -
I've rang around to get numbers & now in yeovil area alone there has been 51 cases of heatstroke at the vets with 17 of those being fatal.

The amount of dogs I've seen out in this weather panting & struggling lately is a extreme concern. Now don't get me wrong I'm a lovely lady I love all animals & get along well with everybody I meet.

However if you have a dog out in this weather I change... dramatically. I will always be a voice for animals I don't care who I have to go through to help an animal or what I have to do. Yesterday was very traumatic for me actually witnessing a black labrador who was apparently 15 years old struggling very badly & the owner not giving a s**t about the welfare of this dog. Displaying extreme signs of heatstroke, the dog couldn't even walk properly or get up. You mean to tell me this dog has given you 15 years of loyal friendship & you treat it like this???? Ungrateful.

I've approached someone before to state their dogs paws are burning on the concrete to which the owner replied - if their paws were burning they wouldn't be walking.... dogs are loyal & will always try to stay by their owners side - they are devoted. (Actually showed owner the state of their dogs paws)

If you have a dog locked in a car - you will be getting a free brick from me.

Keep your dogs inside & safe to anyone who is reading this. I've done canine first aid. I know what happens with heatstroke & trust me. It isn't pretty.
Your dog won't die missing out on a walk.

I walk rolo & Cooper either early in the morning or very late in the evening.

Rolo ate so much today, took him for a wonder to try & work off some calories & he decides to dive mid run 🤦‍♀️ here it is in slow mo for attention...& yes he has little fat rolls now 🤣 also tried acting natural about it 🫣

Thank you to all who supported my stall today & gave me a visit & purchased some goodies for their furbabies. It's my first event of the summer. Me & rolo made some new friends & had a great chat with all involved in the day ❤️

Could all those who said they would be interested if we organized a Dog First Aid Course, get in touch?

We've gone from the abbreviated course to the full course for 6 1/2 to 7 hours for £50. The more people we get, we can look at reducing the price a bit so as still to make a decent donation to the Trust.

We may need to cancel if we don't get enough people to make it financially viable.
