Dogs do feel temperature differently to us, what may feel ok for us, may not feel the same for them. I have air conditioning which is keeping my grooming studio cooler but I am currently unable to use a dryer on your dog. Drying is often a really stressful part of the groom for dogs due to the noise and unfamiliar sensation, in conjunction with heat. Stress combined with heat is a well known unpleasant feeling, “hot and bothered” that can also be dangerous so must be avoided.
Dogs lose heat mainly through their ears and foot pads so a wet bandana or wetting your dogs paws can really help them. Also consider a tasty treat of a frozen banana.
