Never be complacent with a geriatric old fart of a pony, they know what they want and there’s not a lot to convince them otherwise, todays shenanigans was that taking the scenic route out to the field was favourable ... free range down the road verges, I finally persuaded him to comply before someone drove passed and caught me in my pyjamas.
Note 1 : get dressed before turnout
2: put a bloody head collar on him!! 😬🤦🏽‍♀️
Luckily he’s mine ... or I’m his apparently.

As you all probably know by now, every year we have a little racehorse come to us for his holidays. Previously it was in Norfolk so once Amy from AMB Horse Transport collected him from his yard in Middleham he kind of knew it was holiday time, this year however we’ve completely confused him!

His trainer dropped him off on Saturday and being only an hour and a bit away Flav thought he was off racing!

Then the penny started to drop... ok, I know you guys, my old friends are here, I know the dogs but this looks different... I have a lovely big field with actual grass in it, a proper big stable .. this is not Norfolk! But I like it.. a lot ( so do we Flavius!) ❤️

Well it’s safe to say I’ve truly settled back into where the tea is unrivaled, people are friendly and the hills are a little unforgiving to my calf muscles, and the ponies are slightly bewildered to having such a lovely view opposed to not an awful a lot and the biggest straw stack that seemed to increase in size overnight.
So could friends and followers especially in Yorkshire please share my page I’d be hugely grateful.
I’m still available to take housesitting bookings in
Norfolk however they must be booked in good time.

This wolf truly got me, insanely clever and massively changed my perception of German Shepherds. He was one of my regular house sits and somehow always knew I was coming and greeted me with his kong ball , which was his absolute pride and joy. Not many like you my friend.

Who knew my pony identified as a sheep dog??!!
He spent a good ten minutes bucking and farting around these poor girls, they got bored fairly quickly and got on with the job of getting that grass down 👍

So most of you may be aware that my residence in Norfolkshire is coming to an end. We are heading back up to God’s own county.
However nothing much will change as I’m very happy to pop back although I can no longer offer housesitting for less than a week and bookings must be made in good time.

I hope to see you all in the future and I’d like to thank you all for your support in getting my ‘thing’ off the ground.

Along side the housesitting and looking after all your animals I also look after very nice holiday lets.

This one is absolutely beautiful and full of country house charm in the most secluded and private location on a small estate just a stones throw from the North Norfolk coast.

If they were a band.. Freddie the front man ( lab) slightly eccentric but better teeth.
John Deacon ( whippet) slinks about without really being noticed.

It’s not all about the same old walk everyday, sometimes we go for a ride out and a different view, this time Barrow Common on the coast. Very sociable day out 😊This is my little charge for 8 days, he’s a fabulous boy and really good company, love him 😍

Busy time in a lovely part of Norfolkshire with my favourite kind of people, mainly horses but my dog was able to join me for a little holiday, he loved it! Lots swimming (at 7:30am 🥶.. legging it across the lawn to get warm and dry ) and lots of walking. It’s not just about your animals though, it’s added security for your home and for peace of mind 👍😊

Bookings are hotting up for 2024 so thank you everyone for your continued support and recommendations.
These past couple of weeks have been a little different with having little ratcatcher extraordinaire to stay with us, settled into having his holiday with new play mates, lots of walks and generally having quite a nice time .. liked to show of his nuts at bedtime, the vets stole my dog’s nuts so he was probably just smug 🍒Going to miss his wonderful character but looking forward to next time 😘
