Our sweet girl, Jamie, is devastatingly still looking for a home. Over a year now, two Christmas’, and she is still sat here in kennels.

This girl has overcome so many hurdles since arriving in our care. From arriving at the animal home scared of just about anything new, to now making friends with just about anyone she meets - this girl has grown an incredible amount, and is now in need of a family to call her own.

As you can see from these pictures, Jamie is just about as loving as a dog can get. If you are there, Jamie is there with you. Sit on a bench, she’ll be sat cuddling you. She really is the definition of a Velcro dog, and a cuddle monster. Despite her bold-looking appearance, she is the most gentle girl, and worms her way into the hearts of everyone she meets.

Jamie can still be a little scared of new dogs when out and about, however when introduced properly, she is an absolute gem with them. She is our go-to-dog at the animal home when socialising new dogs, as she is loving, gentle and friendly with them all. She really is a social butterfly and is friends with all of the dogs (that let her) here at the centre.

Jamie spent a few nights away from kennels, in our staff flat here on site, and was impeccably well behaved. She was housetrained, very calm and extremely cuddling - simply a delight to have as company.

Jamie really needs a special someone to take a chance on her - a decision that certainly will not be regretted.

We really can’t understand why this girl has been so desperately overlooked, but all we can do is hope that her forever people come and find her soon.

Please share this list and help Jamie find her forever home. She really deserves this.

Introducing a handful of our lovely faces who have been waiting too long to find their forever homes!

1. DIZZY - A lovely, pint-sized German Shepherd, who came into our care after having an awful start to life, and intop of this we soon realised she is in fact deaf. Despite this, she is such an affectionate and loving girl with all people she meets.

2. JAMIE - unfortunately Jamie is still with us, after receiving no interest. She is the most gorgeous soul, who adores cuddling her favourite people and going for walks with her doggies pals.

3. APRIL - after arriving to us as stray, she has found kennel life quite stressful, but has managed to overcome somewhat of rbis stress through going for long walks with her favourite person, our volunteer Andy! Ideally an active home would be great for April.

4. KEVIN - big lad Kev is a goofy, silly and very affectionate boy, who came into our care quite scared when meeting new people. He has come so far with his confidence over the past few months, and is looking for a caring and understanding home to continue his confidence building. Despite his fears around new people, Kevin absolutely adores all dogs, and is such a gent when out walking with and meeting dogs of all shapes and sizes!

5. BUSTER - a young lad who is full of life and finds just about everything exciting. Buster is always up for an adventure, and is a pleasure to walk. He is an active boy, who loves to be playing fetch or going out for long walks, so the ideal home would share his love for getting out and about!

6. GUCCI - this lovely girl came into the centre is very poor condition after her needs were not being met. Now she is back to full health she is looking for a home of her own. Gucci’s tail never stops wagging and she loves nothing more in life than getting a fuss from anyone and everyone she can. Such a loving and goofy character!

7. PRINCE - This young lad has an infectious zest for life - everyday is Christmas for Princey! He adores cuddles, long walks & playing with his favourite doggy friends. It’s impossible not to smile when you are around Prince with his endless comical antics!

Meet our gorgeous Golden Retriever cross Lurcher puppies available for adoption.

Meryl, Gerald, Doreen, Bernard, Abraham & June are now looking for homes of their own after being born and raised here at the centre. Their mum and two of their siblings were lucky enough to get into foster homes, and have now been adopted by these lovely people - now it is the remaining 6’s turn.

These pups are full of love, and have an infectious zest for life. They are typical boisterous puppies, who are very quick learners, and have been mastering a number of new tricks over the past few weeks - they now just need a home and a new family to continue this with.

If you have a golden/Lurcher shaped hole in your heart, please apply via our website to adopt one of these beauties.
