Meet our gorgeous Golden Retriever cross Lurcher puppies available for adoption.

Meryl, Gerald, Doreen, Bernard, Abraham & June are now looking for homes of their own after being born and raised here at the centre. Their mum and two of their siblings were lucky enough to get into foster homes, and have now been adopted by these lovely people - now it is the remaining 6’s turn.

These pups are full of love, and have an infectious zest for life. They are typical boisterous puppies, who are very quick learners, and have been mastering a number of new tricks over the past few weeks - they now just need a home and a new family to continue this with.

If you have a golden/Lurcher shaped hole in your heart, please apply via our website to adopt one of these beauties.

These sweet little dogs are in our care at the moment. Wendy, Shaun and Dougal have had the most terrible time after been abandoned in shocking condition. If anyone has any information on who may have done this please contact the number in the article. They are all doing well and we are seeing more of their little personalities come out everyday. If anyone would like to donate towards their recovery and care please see the link below.

Ruby Ruby Ruby Ruby Rubyyy…❤️

Little lass ‘Ruby’ is our resident pocket-rocket, who has so much love to give.

Ruby is really struggling with Kennel life, and finds it all very stressful. Some dogs just seem to cope better in this environment than others - and unfortunately Ruby really isn’t enjoying it.

Ruby came to us via the police after her needs were not being met. This lovely young lady really hasn’t seen much of the world, and has so much yet to learn. Being only around a year old, Ruby is still very puppy like, and needs a loving home to help show her to ropes in life.

Ruby is a typical little bulldog and is very people oriented, which will undoubtedly help her to be guided into being a calm well-rounded dog with the right guidance.

Ruby is a cuddle monster, and loves nothing more than showering you with kisses and cuddles whenever you are with her. She finds new situations a little daunting, but with gentle encouragement she quickly follows your lead and enjoys experiencing what the world has to offer outside of her kennel.

Ruby has a brilliant quest for life, and is such a comical little lady, like many bulldogs are. She is a lovely size, similar to that of a French bulldog, so she is easy to manage when out and about.

We just can’t understand why there has been no interest in her. Where are all the bulldog lovers hiding?

People help Ruby catch a break, and escape the stresses of kennel life.

Oh April, surely your forever family are out there somewhere ?

Our pretty girl, April, has been with us for quite some time now, and hasn’t managed to find her forever people. This goofy girl has clearly not had much stability in her life before arriving at the centre, and is in desperate need of the love and structure a home would provide her with.

April is really affectionate and playful, and is overjoyed to greet you whenever you go to see her. She is however a little wary of some new people, so a home with people who are aware of this, and are happy to take things at her pace, in a sensible manner, is essential.

Due to her breed, April does have a prey drive, so it is important to note that she would need to be safely managed and kept on lead in public places. With April being a typical lurcher she loves playing chase games off-lead with her favourite people, so ideally a home with a secure garden would suit her best, so she can still have her zoomies, just in a safe environment.

April is such a cracking girl, with so much love to give - she now just needs to find the right people who are willing to work through her insecurities, and allow this gorgeous girl to flourish. She really does return all the love and time you put into her!

Please share this post and help April finally find her forever family.

Our poor, scared boy, Harry, has been with us quite some time now.

Upon arrival Harry was absolutely petrified of everyone and everything, constantly hiding in any place he could find.

Although Harry is still very scared, we have seen some great improvements, with him hiding less, and being more inquisitive about what’s going on around the cattery.

Harry is desperate to find a home to call his own, however his new family must be very understanding of his fears, and let him ease into his new forever home at his own pace.

Due to Harry’s fears about the world around him, he would need to be a permanent house cat, and ideally his new home would have a quiet spare room that can be his place space until he gains enough confidence in his new people and surroundings to venture into the rest of the house.

Harry really needs this break out of cattery life, and we are desperately hoping a calm, considerate and understanding family are out there to help Harry in enjoying this next chapter in his life. He really does deserve this.

Please share this post to help Harry find his forever home.

337 days Cheddar Cheese has spent sat in our kennels. A loving boy, with a cheeky personality, who has been desperately overlooked.

Cheddar lived a tough life before coming to us, however this hasn’t dampened his shine, leaving him with a brilliantly positive attitude towards life - always happy and enthusiastic to see us, and his favourite volunteers.

Cheddar absolutely loves going out for his walks, exploring new places and seeing new things. However, unlike many huskies, Cheddar is a bit of a coach potato, and sometimes decides he’d rather staying cuddling one of our volunteers on the bench instead of heading out for a walk.

When out and about cheddar loves meeting new people, greeting them in a friendly but calm manner. He walks well with many of the dogs here at the centre, however he loves all the attention being on him, so for this reason we think he’d be best suited as living as an only dog.

Despite the fact that Cheddar is such a chilled lad in his kennel, it really isn’t fair that he has spent almost a year here - there’s so much more he can get from life being in a home. We really hope cheddar finds his forever family before his year anniversary comes around.

Please share this post and help find Cheddar the home he has been longing for.
