I have officially ordered my 2025 diary so it’s that time! 📆

If you want to block book your appointments for next year, please message me with how long between appointments and any preference on days/times, you know I’ll always aim to accommodate what works best for you! I’ll begin getting through everyone over the coming weeks.

Please note there will be a small price increase as of January, to reflect increasing cost of shampoo, equipment, bills, etc. I hate having to do it but I’ve intentionally not put my prices up since 2022 to do my best to help everyone out, but I will keep it as minimal as I can.

As ever, thank you all so much for your continued support of Toptail. I appreciate you all more than you know! 🫶🏼

You all seemed to enjoy a more personal post last week so thought I’d do a little ‘get to know me’ post ✌🏼

🐾 I have been grooming six years this year. I always wanted to work with animals & fell into grooming after I had to wait months to get Major his first handstrip & thought, “I could do this”, so left my full time job as a nightclub manager to go train & the rest is history!
🐾 I have two border terriers, Major & Paisley 🐶
🐾 I turn 30 next week 😬
🐾 I’m originally from Retford, Nottinghamshire but stayed here after uni
🐾 I have a degree in Film and TV Production 🎬
🐾 I go to the gym every morning before work & train mostly strongman & CrossFit 🏋🏼‍♀️
🐾 I have been sober for two & a half years, just through choice
🐾 I do A LOT of baking 🍰
🐾 Foo Fighters are my favourite band 🤘🏼
🐾 Northumberland is my favourite place in the UK

How should your dog be during their nail trim? 🐶 🐾 Calm 🐾 Cooperative 🐾 Conditioned Conditioning your dog to the entire grooming process is essential - this helps to ensure your dog is calm and cooperative throughout but nails in particular seem to be a big problem for a lot of dogs. Some hate the feeling, the sound, some have had a bad experience in the past and some just aren’t used to having their feet handled. These are all things you can work on at home, as well as in the salon! I offer my puppy package for pups up to six months which conditions them to the entire process. If your dog is older but you’d still like an introduction to the grooming process message me to discuss options - every dog can be conditioned to be used to the process, you just have to be willing to put the work in with them 🐶
