Usually Halloween is one of my favourite times of year but this year isn't one of those times 🥺 my stunning old boy Damon has passed away this morning, he was the start and now the end of my dark silver lines. He was such a character and just like his Dad he will always hold a special place in my heart.

Ferret Spotted!

Hi guys please have a share for me.
A silver ferret has been spotted in the hesgerow, we have been out looking but had to abandon the search due to it getting dark. Unfortunately, it's a very rural area where she was seen so chances were slim to none of finding her and after a long search there was no luck. There are villages on either side of where she was seen. If you use this road please keep an eye out for her guys

Sad post today.

2021 has been a terrible year here at the ferretry, as we all know eventually the time comes when we have to say goodbye to our furry friends and with the ferretry being open 10 + years now we have had a year of very sad farewells from most of our oldest ferrets and only a few days ago we said goodbye to our oldest lady left Olivia.😔 Dook in Peace little lady x love always 😔

We are celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the rediscovery of BFFs in 1981, Meeteetse, Wyoming.

Thank you to all the partners, over these years, that have participated in recovery efforts to save the BFF from extinction.

Tonight, Black-footed ferrets live wild and free on the short grass prairie.

Sneak Peek Time!

Just some adorable Fez enjoying some tasty grub 😊
Unfortunately, we lost the smallest kit last week but after keeping a very close eye on the litter we believe he died of natural causes 😔 he was given extra food by hand and we tried our best but sadly he didn't make it. The rest of Clementine's babies are doing so well! I was a little worried to begin with as she is a first-time mummy and 12 kits are more than a handful but she's a super mum!

We have 16 Jills currently at the ferretry many have been here for a good few years now, our oldest is now nearly 10 years old! No matter what age they are they are all my beautiful girlies 😊😊

Something unexpected happened a couple of weeks ago.

After beginning the breeding season as normal and planning our pairings ready for the season to begin everything seemed to be in full swing until I had an unexpected passing of my father.. I decided to remove the jill the next day and waited for signs which looked as if she actually didn't catch on but a week later I went in the house to find 12 little meepers. They are a planned litter but with the circumstances, I was hoping to wait until later to start the breeding plans again but it looks like the fuzzbutts had other ideas.

They will be looking for homes once they are ready to leave, feel free to message me on availability. Be aware they are still rather small and mum is rather protective as she's a first-timer so I will be waiting a little while before I start handling them properly.

Due to Family circumstances, the 2021 breeding season is on hold.. I'm still planning on breeding possibly a single litter but it will be later in the season.
Thank you for everyone's support and patience.
