A brief but unforgettable one-day horseback riding adventure through the breathtaking valleys and century-old pistachio forests in Georgia's rugged eastern terrain, in the beautiful and arid Chachuna area.
The Chachuna Reserve spans 70 km along both banks of the Iori River and is in Georgia's far southeast, in the Dedoplistskaro Municipality. It is distinguished by a varied flora that includes steppe vegetation, arid clear woods, semi-deserts, and Tugai floodplain forest.
What to expect?
The day will begin in the village of Qedeli at nine o'clock. Guides and horses will wait to welcome us at the Chachuna protected area. We saddle horses and ride, arrive in the semi-desert, and enjoy the beauty of nature, clean air, birds, and the landscape. We'll stop for a delicious meal en route and keep riding until five o'clock.
we'll drive to the Lost Ridge Inn, Brewery, and Ranch later on to enjoy a delicious meal and an artisan beer from Svia Microbrewery. We'll spend the evening around the bonfire and unwind in one of the cozy rooms in the hotel.
Accommodation, Meals, Guides, Horses and Equipment
Stay at the Lost Ridge Ranch;
Horses are the traditional Caucasian breed (well trained and strong);
Total 10 horses are available;
Saddle types: Western, English, or Caucasian (upon request by participantโs prior notice);
Duration of the tour: 6-7 hours;
Number of guides: 2;
Minimum four participants.
The package price includes includes an English-speaking guide and riding instructors, the use of the horses, saddle, pad, and bridle, as well as a single lunch, dinner, breakfast, overnight accommodation, and hotel transfers in 4-wheel-drive cars.
Not included in the price: travel insurance, alcoholic drinks, and the Lost Ridge Inn services not listed above.
