📢 Important Announcement: Shelter Closed This Saturday 🐶🏗️

As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, one of our sponsors has kindly offered to help renovate parts of our facility. Their amazing team will be on-site this Saturday, taking on a variety of projects, including:
🖌️ Fresh paint jobs
🌧️ Installation of a new canopy over our middle pen to provide better protection for our dogs from the rain and sun
🔧 General maintenance work to keep our shelter safe and comfortable for all our furry residents

Because of this, our shelter will be closed to all visitors and volunteers on Saturday to ensure the safety of everyone involved and allow the work to proceed as smoothly as possible.

We are deeply grateful for their support and commitment to animal welfare. Thanks to their help, our dogs will have a more comfortable and protected environment to call home while they wait for their forever families. 🐾❤️

It’s been a very difficult 10 days. Four puppies came to us two weeks ago, diagnosed with parvo and coronavirus. While both are serious, we’ve successfully treated parvo cases for years with around-the-clock care.

However, when one pup developed respiratory symptoms and seizures, it became clear we were also dealing with distemper. On top of that, all four were infested with ticks, likely carrying tick-borne diseases as well. 

Despite our best efforts, the combination of viruses and a compromised immune system was too much. We lost them one by one, except this little Jeka/Hailey.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who donated - your support allowed us to give them comfort, love, and every possible chance.

Now, just one little survivor remains who still needs all the help and support.
She’s very weak and had two seizures on Saturday, but over the last two days, she’s started eating and drinking on her own. That gives us hope, though her condition remains uncertain.

Weeks like these are the hardest part of our job - but of course, we’ll keep fighting for her. She deserves it.

We are still fighting for these babies.
Unfortunately, they do not only have parvo, but corona and distemper as well.
The odds are against them. We need all the help we can get.
We are so grateful to everyone who has donated to help them so far, this allowed us to provide the best veterinary care and 24 hrs continuous support to these sisters.

Please donate so we can continue this level of care, as it is incredibly straining on our resources.

We just learnt the very sad news that the wonderful Coska passed away two days ago in the US.
He was a character like no other. Everyone adored him, and he was the symbol of love and resilience.
He had lived in Vake park as a community dog, but when he got hit by a car, we brought him into the shelter.
It was unlikely he would ever walk again with his severe injuries, but he persevered.
He was like a little otter in the water, he loved swimming so much.
We were all so happy when he finally found the best possible dog mum in Olivia, who fostered him during the pandemic.
When Olivia left Georgia, Coska traveled with her as well, and he lived the best life a dog could have in his final years, with all kinds of adventures, plenty of kisses, love and cuddles.
Our heart goes out to Olivia and her family, and we will be eternally grateful to them for giving Coska a wonderful life.

Special thanks to Corinne Rothblum and .tbilisi for making this happen: Casper is now on his first flight, en route to his forever home in North America, where he will have a specialized wheelchair waiting for him, so this two legged little miracle will experience running for the first time in his life!

These little fighters are trying their best to pull through.
The fourth tiny musketeer is doing very well. She doesn't need IV now, while these three, unfortunately, are still battling parvo.
They also all were covered in ticks, so if they survive parvo, we have to test them for all tick-borne diseases.
Please keep them in your thoughts and donate for their treatments.

Another litter of parvo pups.
This time, 4 little babies.
Please help us save them.
They will most likely be able to travel to Ireland or Poland once they get stronger and have their paperwork.

But first, they need to survive.

Then they will need a place for another 6 months before they could leave to their forever homes.

As one of our disability heroes, Casper, prepares to begin a new chapter in a loving home, another challenge has already arrived.

This sweet, gentle young dog was found by tourists, and we simply couldn’t say no - turning her away would have meant a slow and painful death.

We don’t yet know the full extent of her trauma, but we’re hopeful. For now, she will be given time to settle in before undergoing a full set of trauma and medical evaluations.

What we do know is that this will be an uphill battle. Our goal is to help her regain enough strength to receive her documents and eventually travel to a country where she can get the specialized care and forever home she deserves.

CASPER NEEDS A TRANSPORT BOX!

Finally we got the confirmation from Turkish Airlines, that our unique little T-rex, our two-legged Casper is all booked on his flight to home!
He will be flying on 13th June, and now the only thing missing is to get him an airline approved transport box.

The box he needs will cost almost 600 GEL, so we are asking some help with this.
If all of Casper's friends and fans will chip in with 10-20 GEL, then we can make sure that this little miracle dog can finally reach his forever home!
