Krifti Fishing Boat Trip: We organize memorable fishing excursions by combining swimming in the beautiful blue crystal waters of the coastline of South Lesvos with the unique fun of fishing. Our base is located in Plomari and we follow a western route towards Drota beach with its amazing seabed. On our way to Drota beach, we will stop for swimming at “Melinda”, one of the most beautifull beach of the island as well as at “Panagia Krifti”. “Panagia Krifti” is an imposing place with unique landscape of steep cliffs and amazing waters. An element that enhances the sense of its uniqueness is the chapel hidden entirely in a spacious cave cliff.

Petra Women's Agritourism Cooperative

The entrance is almost invisible as one passes the bustling cafes and the traffic of the coastal pavement in Petra, in the northwestern part of Lesvos, a few kilometers near Mithymna. A hand-painted sign on the right and an all-white marble staircase lead to the first floor of the building that houses the restaurant of the Petra Women's Agritourism Cooperative. They started in 1983 with rooms for rent, but along the way they developed into an inspiration and help for the development of other cooperatives in villages in the wider area and a restaurant famous for its home-cooked flavors.
About 12 pans and 12 pots are prepared every day, Mrs. Eleni Chioti, president of the cooperative and general kitchen supervisor, tells me as she shapes the cabbage dumplings. But also roasts, meat, fish as well as appetizers make up the very rich menu every day with nothing left over at the end of the day. Big souxes are the cabbage dumplings, meatballs, soutzoukaki and also the shoes without surpassing their other dishes in taste. A phone call before you go for a reservation is never a bad idea.
