Breed details: Lighter eye colour is common in brindle Cane Corso and it is not a serious defect. Back in old times eye colour was rarely black, this black that is frequently mentioned in dog shows is actually introduced into the breed from other breeds as time passed and fashion for total black was ongoing. One that examine eyes should stick into the expression and not the colour as colour has nothing to do with expression.Colours, shape and expression is what a breeder must consider together.

Perfection doesn’t exist in my opinion and believe me i m looking at Cane Corso for almost 20 years… Yet at the moment breeding should be an effort for corection of details of the dogs produced but effort as well for maintaining the molossoid appearance suitable for a Cane Corso. Don t stick into silly thoughts. Also don t settle for less, if the dogs don t meet high relation to the standard leave it aside. Pick another if breeding is of your interest.
