We care not only for humans but also for our furry friends who we consider family. We have a small shelter with 43 dogs and 5 cats. We are always struggling to have enough to feed and care for these animals. We love to be able to spay and neuter street animals and our student's pets who care for their furbabies!
We are asking for any donation no matter how big or small, it will really help

Little grey puppy also went to her forever home today! She is going to be the companion of two very sweet boys as they grow up! Thank you for the donations that made it possible for these two puppies that were abandoned to be vaccinated, spayed and cared for. We wish all puppies in Guatemala had such happy endings!

Thanks to you these two little girls have now been spayed, and vaccinated, they are healthy and they have been loved. We are now looking for their forever homes. Not always an easy thing in Guatemala for dogs who are mixed breeds like these two cuties.
Lets keep our fingers crossed these two can find loving homes. Thank you for making it possible for them, as a vaccinated, spayed dog, especially a girl dog is more interesting to future owners.

Today these two little,very scared puppies were abandoned in the Fundamaya car parking area. Obviously, we could not leave them crying alone. We have taken them and Zoe has bathed them with warm water as they had a lot of fleas, they have been fed and they are safe. But we need to have them vaccinated and when they are a little older, before we find their forever homes we need to spay them, Both of them are females. Sadly, it is nearly always the female puppies that are thrown out. Being animal lovers we cannot leave little puppies to starve on the street. We appreciate any help you can give us. This is the dog that we have been feeding out side our house for the past month. She was absolutely skin and bone but now she has been eating every day, she has put on weight. She is very scared of people and will not let her touch her but she now wags her tail at us.
We need to get her to the vet for medical care.
She has a terrible skin condition and she also has a broken or fractured front paw.
We need to raise approx. $400 US for her vet care. We would appreciate any donations that you could make that would help us to be able to help this gentle girl.

A cute kitty update! The babies love their goats milk! Both are doing well, they are both girl kittens and they are growing up so fast! On Monday they need to go to the vet again to get another two important vaccines which cost $40 for both of them and to get more goats for a week we need $10 US a total of $50 US.

Hi Friends of the Animals! Guess what we got left at our door 🥺😱😳 two baby kittens! It is sad as it is that time of year where many don't like black cats and are scared of them. They either throw them away or worse can happen 😔 We need $70 US to be able to take them to the vet for a check up and vaccines and get them goats milk. We have many loving students and we are so lucky that they trust us! One of our students found this poor girl on the street. She was so sweet and wanted us to help her. We have taken her to the vet and he said that her leg needs to be amputated as her paw was badly cute. As being a street dog, it has become infected and will be worse in a few weeks. We need to get her an emergency amputation surgery. The Vet said it would cost $465 US, this includes her vet visits after.
The student and her family have decided to keep her after the surgery and take care of her.

The indomitable Camberley Kate, aka Kate Ward, and her stray dogs in England in 1962.

Camberley Kate was born in Middlesbrough on June 13, 1895. Orphaned before the age of ten, she was brought up by an aunt in a strict religious atmosphere. As a young girl she went into the ministry and eventually found her way to Camberley. In later years, she once claimed to have been a chef in the RMC at the time of the Battle of the Somme, although she would have been only 21 years old.

She also mentioned that she knew what it was like to be homeless.
In 1943, Kate bought a cottage in Yorktown and soon took in her first stray, a dog that was about to be euthanized for lameness.

Over time, the number of dogs in her home grew - some tied to her door, others left in carrier bags, still others brought to her by police or other authorities. By the end of her life, she estimated that she had cared for more than 600 dogs.

Kate and her olive green handcart painted "STRAY DOGS" were a familiar sight in the area as she pushed it from Yorktown to Camberley every day.
She died on August 4, 1979.

UPDATE...SADLY OUR LITTLE SWEETIE DID NOT MAKE IT, BUT AT LEAST SHE HAD A LOT OF LOVE IN HER FOUR SHORT WEEKS.

Our little puppy that was left on our doorstep in a plastic bag just after she was born was doing so well but then all of a sudden she lost a lot of weight and has a high fever. She is now at the vets on a drip. She is only 4 weeks old but has had a rocky start to her life.

This is the much-beloved dog of one of our students. She is very upset as the dog now has a growth on its stomach and seems to be in pain. She can't afford to get medical help for the dog and she is asking for help to be able to take the dog to the vet. She doesn't want her dog to suffer and she wants to be able to help him if possible.

Our other little baby that was left in a plastic bag on our doorstep just after being born is also doing well.
She is drinking her bottle of goat's milk and sleeping well.

This is the little one that was thrown out of with the trash! She was very sick and full of parasites. We would appreciate any help to pay off her medical costs which were a little over $200.
