🤯 puppies born from c-section!
In an absolutely wild turn of events, a pregnant dog showed up at our doorstep. Right before we launched a sterilization campaign.
"Mama dog", as we affectionately call her, shut up on our doorstep literally pregnant and wagging her tail. As if she knew we were going to help her bring her babies into the world.
I swear, dogs are way smarter than anyone thinks they are.
When her water eventually broke, she was not able to give birth for over 24 hours. This set off a lot of red flags 🚩 to our staff, and we were able to get a very helpful vet to come over and perform a late night emergency C-section. 😱
To everyone's surprise, all the puppies but one lived. Eight puppies born successfully into this world, right out of Mama directly, and only with the help of the medical assistance we were able to get.
The only downside of this story, is that the medical bills accrued from the emergency 8 into the funding we had for the sterilization campaign. So we need your help!
We're asking for anyone capable at this time who can help provide a donation to cover our medical bills. Most specifically, the remainder yet needing to be paid for the sterilization campaign which is approximately 4,800 Quetzales [~$640 USD].
