If you need to turn in an animal or want to schedule a time to visit/adopt, please call 653-4246 prior to coming to the shelter. GAIN is OPEN:
Monday through Sunday 9am-5pm (closed 12pm - 1:30pm)
*ALL animal drop offs must be scheduled in advance by calling 653-4246, emailing us at [email protected] or messaging us on social media.

Easter Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

If you have an emergency (animal is sick, injured, dying, or has bitten/attacked) please call the office number. If the emergency occurs while we are closed, please call our Emergency Number: 988-1615. We can accept EMERGENCIES at any time. An emergency includes an animal that is sick, injured, dying, or has bitten/attacked. Please note, we cannot provide advanced veterinary care, but for serious cases we can provide humane euthanasia. If your emergency occurs while we are closed, please call: 671-971-6068.

Looking for a meaningful job where you can make a real difference every single day?
Join the team at Guam Animals in Need’s SNIP Clinic where compassion meets action.

🐶 What You’ll Do:
~Prepare animals for surgery
~Assist veterinarians during procedures
~Monitor animals before and after surgery
~Clean and prepare surgical instruments and recovery areas
~Keep patients comfortable and cared for

🌟 No experience? No problem!
We provide on-the-job training. You’ll learn everything you need from our experienced veterinary team. All you need is a love for animals, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

We know it can be overwhelming when you find a stray, rescue a litter, or face the hard decision to surrender a pet. 💛

At Guam Animals In Need, we’re here to help when you have nowhere else to turn.

GAIN is the island’s only animal shelter, and we take in any and all cats and dogs, no matter their age, condition, or background. 🐶🐱

Every animal deserves compassion, and our team is here to make sure they get a safe place to land.

📅 Drop-offs are by appointment only Mon-Sat at 9am
To keep animals safe and reduce overcrowding, all animal drop-offs are scheduled in advance.

🔹 Step 1: Call or message us to schedule your drop-off appointment.
🔹 Step 2: We’ll confirm our next available date and let you know what to bring.
🔹 Step 3: Come by during your scheduled slot, our team will take it from there!

Not long ago, we reached out to our amazing island community for help when our shelter ran out of wet cat food — and you showed up big time! 💛

Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $950 (almost double our goal of $500!) and received countless donations of wet food dropped off directly at our shelter. Because of your kindness, we’ve been able to restock not only wet cat food but also cat litter, helping us care for both our shelter cats and those in foster homes.

We’re always in need, but your support has put us in a much healthier position to care for our feline friends. From all of us at GAIN — and especially from the cats — Si Yu’os Ma’åse’ for helping us keep their bellies full and their paws clean! 🐾💖
