I respect that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, including myself. It's completely fine to disagree, but let's remember to express our differing views respectfully. Engaging in rude comments when we disagree only hinders productive conversations.

HERE’S WHY SOCIALIZING A PUPPY IN THE DOG PARK IS NOT IDEAL.

Number one, the diversity of human perspectives on dogs, their behaviour, and psychology often leads to a lack of consensus. This variance in opinions can result in conflicting approaches towards handling a dog. Unfortunately, the dog itself ultimately bears the brunt of this discord.

Number two, unbalanced dogs. So, you’re going to have dogs in a dog park, likely that dogs don’t have the best training. And a lot of people who just bring their dogs there to just burn some exercise. So that creates a high probability of a puppy, potentially having a bad experience, which is the last thing you want them to do during imprint. It’s very important that your puppy has very positive experiences with other dogs and people during their infancy.

Number three. dog parks are dirty. Many of the public parks are not clean. There’s a high probability of disease. And that’s the last thing you want your puppy to be around. Instead, you can find friends or family who have a balanced dog, and who also agree with your ideas and methods of dog behaviour.

This way your dog can be around a balanced dog and have a great experience being around people who agree with you.

I'd appreciate your considering an alternative approach to house training your dog.

Some people believe that placing your dog's nose in its urine is an effective method of communication.

WRONG: It may lead to confusion and a negative association with your return home.

Instead, when you encounter a situation where your dog has urinated indoors, please gently remove your dog from the room, clean up the mess without their presence (otherwise he'll think it's a game), and refrain from any reprimand.

When your dog successfully urinates outside, offer praise and positive reinforcement by acknowledging their good behaviour. Say his name and say, ‘It's good you've pottied’.

This will help your dog associate urinating outside with a positive experience for both of you.
