Our girl Butters. A strong, resilient, inspirational dog. The kind of dog that you never forget. Butters lived life on a chain before being attacked nearly to death in an overcrowded shelter. We will never forget the call for help from that shelter as they cried for Butters and asked us to tag her for rescue. We told them we were on our way, and they cried even harder.
And you know what the most remarkable thing is about Butters' story? Its Butters' resilience to find the ray of sunshine in every single day and to fall in love with every person she meets.
She has a zest for life. She thinks peanut butter is the elixir of life, wiggles her whole body when she gets excited, and rubs her back against the rug when she comes in from walks as if she's trying to cover herself up in the smell of "home." Butters is love reincarnate. A diamond. And she’s looking for a forever home.
