Lettie the Basenji ☀️

Lettie is a unique tri-color Basenji, she is only 1 year old. Although being young, it seems like she’s already been a mother before. We’re so happy she is free from her former breeding life and has found freedom.

Lettie is a friendly girl who gets along with both people and other dogs. She’s great on leash and loves the outdoors! 🌳 Basenjis are naturally active and curious dogs, a home that will be able to provide lots of outdoor opportunities for her will be ideal.

🧧🐶🐱Help Us Give Homeless Animals a Chance

As we celebrate the joyous occasion of Chinese New Year, many of us are fortunate enough to receive lucky money—a symbol of good fortune and prosperity. This year, I’m reaching out to you with a heartfelt request: please consider donating your lucky money to PUC to help us care for our beloved homeless animals.

We are currently facing our biggest challenge yet. Each month, we struggle to pay for mounting vet bills, which have left us owing many caring veterinarians. Due to these financial constraints, we've had to make the heartbreaking decision to stop taking in new animals, leaving many in desperate situations.

Additionally, some of our stray colony feeding programs have been suspended due to a lack of funds. These animals rely on us for nourishment and care, and without your support, we fear we won’t be able to continue our mission.

Chunky boy Brownie 🐾🍫

Brownie is a 1.5 years old handsome and chunky mixed breed dog looking for his forever family. We especially love his distinctive black and tan markings 🖤💛

Lulu and Lemon are an adorable sister duo. Both very active, playful and love food. They are very happy to be picked up and very affectionate.

They are both very friendly and patient with the foster family’s toddler, especially Lemon.

Maisy is gorgeous domestic short hair cat looking for her forever home. She’s a shy cat that needs time to warm up to new people. Luckily, she is food motivated. She’s living at our adoption centre and improving daily.

Maisy is 3.5 years old and spayed.

Background on Maisy:
During the Summer of 2022, Maisy gave birth to 7 babies. She took such good care of them and nursed them until they were ready to be weaned and adopted. Maisy remained in her amazing foster home for 1+ years to continue her socialisation with people.

PUC has a few shy mother cats in foster homes waiting to be adopted. We’d love to give these mother cats a chance to find their forever homes just like their littles ones have.

Magic is an affectionate British Short Hair cat who loves company of humans more than fellow cats.

Despite one injured eye, he remains curious about the world. He’s vocal and food driven, often seeking attention and expressing himself with adorable meows. He loves affection and gives headbutts to express his affection. He’s likes to cuddle and loves being in the close vicinity to his humans.

However, he would thrive best in a home without other cats, as he prefers to be the sole focus of attention.

Magic is 4.5 years old.

While Magic waits for his forever home, we’d like to try to fundraise so he can receive surgery to remove the injured eye and dental cleaning and scaling.

PUC is completely out of funds but we’d like to try to appeal to the community to help Magic.

Magic 是一隻鍾意痴人的英國短毛貓，比起其他貓貓，他更喜歡人類的陪伴。

儘管有一隻眼睛受傷，他對世界仍然充滿好奇。他喜歡說話、食嘢，經常尋求別人的關注，並用可愛的喵喵聲表達自己。它喜歡被愛撫，並會用頭部撞擊來表達自己的愛意。他喜歡擁抱，喜歡和人類親近。

然而，他最適合在沒有其他貓的家庭中成長，因為他喜歡成為唯一的焦點。

Magic 今年 4.5 歲，已絕育。

貓狗領養慈善協會(簡稱PUC) 是全義工運作的非牟利團體。

拯救：從不同的渠道拯救動物，包括被漁護署捕獲，被主人及繁殖場遺棄及流浪的動物

復康：我們為所有被拯救回來的動物提供醫療護理，包括手術、防疫注射、杜蟲杜蝨和絕育。我們確保為動物尋找安全和合適的暫托家庭，令牠們得到身體和精神上的復康。

領養：我們的最終目標是為所有被拯救回來的動物尋覓永久的家庭。我們慎重地配對領養家庭，確保雙方滿意。

Paws United Charity (PUC) is a non-profit, all-volunteer rescue organization established in Hong Kong.

WHAT WE DO

Rescue: We rescue animals from various channels, including Government kennels, families who can no longer keep their pets, breeders who no longer want the animals, abandoned animals on the streets and born strays.

Rehabilitate: We provide medical treatment for all rescue animals, including costly surgical procedures, vaccinations, as well as de-flea and de-sex procedures. We make sure the animals are placed in foster homes that offer a safe and welcoming environment to rehabilitate them mentally and physically.

Re-home: Our end-goal is to successfully find forever homes for all of the animals that we rescue. Our volunteers carefully screen and guide interested parties through the adoption process so that both adopting families and animals can go home happy.

Paws United Charity has been granted an exemption from holding an animal trader licence in accordance with regulation 5A(1) of the Public Health (Animals and birds) (Trading and Breeding) Regulations, Cap. 139B.
