Equestrian has the power to forge incredible connections🤝 - not just between riders, but between 🙋🏻♀️riders and🐴horses as well. It allows riders to find their “saddle soulmates” - the horses they share an unbreakable connection with. This relationship is paramount in equestrian sport.
The HKJC Youth Equestrian Squad knows this very well. Our Youth Squad riders Kate and Ka Ching are sharing with us how they’ve built that special partnership with their horses, and the process of competing together in harmony.
The HKJC Youth Equestrian Development Programme has been instrumental in helping youth riders nurture these incredible horse-rider relationships. Through specialised training and mentorship, they’ve learned how to build trust, communicate effectively, and bring out the best in each other.

Massive congratulations to 🐴 Baby Dragon! The former Me Tsui trained horse was awarded the Best "Newcomer" Retired Racehorse Award in Show Jumping in 22/23. The Club's Retraining Unit was impressed at his jumping talent and he's fast developing a reputation as a fine equestrian horse.
