Is there really nobody interested in adopting Yorgos?🥺He has a very easygoing and even-tempered personality. He is affectionate towards humans and gets along well with other dogs. He doesn't bark or cause any destruction. He knows how to go outside for bathroom breaks and doesn't pull on the leash. Overall, he is a very well-behaved dog💯

Some of you might be concerned about the space that a mongrel would need for activities. However, Yorgos usually rests quietly on his own and doesn't run or jump around. Can you give him a chance? If you're interested, kindly make an appointment to spend time with Yorgos at our dog shelter~

When Maverick was just abandoned, he lost his trust in human. He doesn’t know how to “be a dog” as he was trapped in a tiny apartment, with 0 exposure to the outside world.

During his stay at our dog shelter, he has made a huge progress and regained trust in human. He always greets volunteers with a wagging tail and slobbering kisses. He also made friends with other doggy residents and learnt to go potty outdoor and walk on a leash.

He has changed a lot, but he couldn’t change the reality that he’s still homeless. Could you give him a chance to feel love? Feel free to meet Maverick at our dog centre (by appointment) and get to know him in person. He’s really sweet.

📣LAP 簡介📣

保護動物慈善協會（Lifelong Animal Protection Charity，簡稱 LAP）由 Sheila McClelland 創立，並於 2003 年成為註冊慈善團體，已有二十年歷史。協會成立起源於 Sheila 早年在南丫島拯救出一隻險成為盤中餐的小狗。時至今日，LAP 已發展成為一個擁有兩個拯救及領養動物中心的機構，分別位於荃灣的狗中心及西營盤的貓中心，兩家中心均是百分之百由全義工團隊運作。由於沒有任何受薪職員，一眾熱心的義工是維持 LAP 運作的支柱。本會還依靠義工們及龐大的暫托家庭網絡去照顧，隔離及馴化還未能安置到領養中心的動物，包括有特殊醫療需要的動物。

本會的義工團隊還會協助領養事宜，以確保合適的動物安排到領養家庭。動物一旦被領養後，我們將盡一切所能將它們安頓到安全、有愛和永久的家。

LAP 僅僅單靠個人捐款及贊助運作，歡迎各方作出資金捐款，以支持動物的龐大的醫療開支及提供適切的護理費。

Founded by Sheila McClelland, Lifelong Animal Protection has been a registered charity since 2003. However, it has been well over 20 years since Sheila rescued her first puppy from being sold as dog meat on Lamma Island. Since that fateful day, LAP has grown into an animal rescue and rehoming charity with two adoption centres - one for dogs in Tsuen Wan, and another cat centre in Sai Ying Pun, both 100% run by volunteers. Without any paid staff, these dedicated volunteers are vital to keeping LAP's shelters up and running. Our volunteers as well as a vast network of foster parents, help to socialise, quarantine and care for the animals that have not yet been placed at our adoption centres. Our teams also help with adoption placements, ensuring that adopters are ideally matched with animals. We do our best to take necessary steps to place our animals in safe, loving and lifelong homes once they leave LAP’s care. LAP relies solely on individual donations and sponsorship, and we always welcome contributions toward our medical expenses and costs that come with providing the best possible care.

😍😍 好消息！嚟緊星期六、日（六月八及九日），我地會參加漁農自然護理署 Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department 喺啟德舉辦寵物領養日！當日除咗有寵物 #領養資訊外，仲有VR遊戲體驗、攤位遊戲同互動教育展覽等等。今年大會邀請咗樊亦敏同米露迪成爲寵物領養宣傳大使，分享點樣做好寵物主人嘅心得！記得到我地嘅攤位支持一下，同埋領取免費禮品！

😍😍 We will be joining AFCD for their "Let's Go! The Pet Owner's Journey" Pet Adoption Day this weekend, happening on June 8 and 9 from 11am to 6pm at Kai Tak AIRSIDE. There will be sharing sessions, pet adoption consultation info, VR gaming experience, game booths, and an interactive educational exhibition. Come support us and receive a free gift! AFCD has invited Amy Fan and Melody Ma as the ambassadors for Pet Adoption Day. He just moved in so is still a bit shy, but he’s been friendly towards people and his four-legged friends. He wags his tail as he sees people and looks forward to getting walked. He’s potty trained and walks well on a leash. He also has a calm demeanour and behaves himself - barely barks or destroys things in our shelter.

[停車場生病貓貓𝕊𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕥]

貓貓𝕊𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕣𝕤𝕖𝕥比人喺停車場救起，佢只有六個月大，雙眼嚴重發炎，可憐咁喵喵叫🥹。佢身體好瘦弱，指數麻麻，但都無阻佢親人嘅性格，會盡力對義工嗲嗲示好，希望佢捱過呢一關再尋家⋯請大家支持佢嘅醫療費用，多多益善🙌🏼❤️！ #謝謝

《全身毛髮打結的流浪貴婦狗Yoseph》

早前有好心人發現一隻全身毛結嘅Poodle，獨自喺街上遊走，於是救起佢送到LAP。第一眼見到佢真係好肉赤，話佢係張舊地氈都不為過，全身嘅毛毛kick住一舊舊，又臭又唔舒服🥶

我地幫狗狗改咗名做Yoseph，同佢剪咗毛、沖咗涼，佢終於開始有返笑容，之後帶佢見獸醫，醫生估計Yoseph大約7歲，整體健康不錯，亦打返預防針💉✅

相處落我地發現Yoseph對人好友善，有人陪佢、有街去就好開心，同其他狗狗亦相處得好好，識得出街去廁所💯👍如果你都想俾個家Yoseph，歡迎嚟狗中心同佢見下面～

主人呀主人，寵物都係一條生命，佢冇得選擇出世、冇得選擇遇到個點樣嘅主人毛，如果你選擇咗帶佢返屋企，就好好地照顧佢啦，好唔好🥲

A poodle with severely matted hair was found wandering alone in the street. A kind-hearted person rescued him and sent him to LAP. When we first saw him, he was literally a total mess. His coat was like an old used rug. Volunteers gave him a nice cut and bath, and he finally started to smile. We named this sweet boi Yoseph.

According to the vet, Yoseph is about 7 years young. His general health is fine. We also made sure his vaccination record and monthly prevention are up to date. Now Yoseph is ready to find a new home.

Yoseph is super friendly to people despite being neglected by his ex-owner. As long as he has your company and walkies, he is happy. He also gets along well with our other residents and learnt to go potty outdoor. If you’d like to offer Yoseph a forever home, feel free to meet him at our dog shelter first.

💔 星期五晚發生令人既心碎又憤怒的事情，當義工們忙於收拾貓中心時，我們從外面聽到可憐的貓咪叫聲。當到門外查看時，發現一隻弱小的貓咪放在紙箱內，棄貓者沒有知會過任何人情況下離開。這隻小貓的狀況相當差，不單瘦弱之餘，後腳異常地彎曲，行路一拐一拐的。叫人最難過的是，她無法自己排便，在吃東西時大小便不自覺地漏出來，我們只好人手幫她排便。我們為她改名做Sassy，因為她叫得相當大聲和精神。

經獸醫檢查，確認她患有先天疾病「肛門閉鎖」(atresia ani)，這是一種罕見的先天性異常情況，常見於小貓，推斷被遺棄的原因。 Sassy現在接受適切的照顧，但於她的病情複雜，未來情況相當不樂觀。我們翻查閉路電視片段，確認棄貓者放下紙箱後立即離去，明顯有意圖遺棄動物，本會將向有關執法部門報案。根據《狂犬病條例》第22(1)條，遺棄動物是嚴重罪行，最高可被罰款10,000元或監禁六個月。

💔 This Friday turned up something real sad at our shelter. As the volunteers were doing their evening rounds with the cats, a heartbreaking sight unfolded. We heard pitiful cries coming from outside, when they went to take a look, they found this tiny, thin, and starving kitten packed into a cardboard box that someone had just left there without a word. This little one was in rough shape - skinny as can be, with her back legs strangely bent. Additionally, it was evident that she couldn't relieve herself independently, as she had continuous leakage from her rear end, requiring us to help with her bowel movements.

Veterinary checkups confirmed a congenital condition called Atresia ani, a rare congenital anomaly that occurs in kittens, the reason for her abandonment. We named her Sassy, a testament to her vocal and lively spirit. Sassy is safe with us now and we're giving her the care that she needs. However, her long-term prognosis remains uncertain due to the complexities of her medical case. We've secured footage of the abandonment and will be reporting the case to the authorities. It is a serious offence to abandon an animal, punishable with a fine of $10,000 or six months imprisonment under section 22(1) of the Rabies Ordinance.

係被主人棄養？抑或被繁殖場掉出嚟？柴柴Willo憑空在街頭出現，獨自流浪。我地對佢嘅過往一無所知，只知道佢係一個好溫柔、好乖嘅小朋友，不但對人友善，亦可以同狗狗相處，性格平靜穩定💯Willo已接受獸醫檢查，正在等緊一個安穩嘅家，你可以畀個機會佢嗎？

Was she abandoned by her owner or discarded by a breeding mill? Shiba Inu Willow appeared out of nowhere on the streets, all alone and wandering. We know nothing about her past, except that she is a gentle and well-behaved little one. Not only is she friendly towards humans, but she also gets along well with other dogs, exhibiting a calm and peaceful nature. Willo had her veterinary check and is now seeking a secure and loving home. Can you give her a chance to feel love?

從前只得一條生鏽鐵鍊，沒有名字、沒有晶片也沒有愛⋯⋯
𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐚'𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧

某個大雨天，求助人發現了獨自流浪的Sasha——除了一條充滿鏽跡的鐵鏈，便甚麼也沒有。求助人把Sasha帶回家，嘗試幫她尋回主人，可是卻一直沒有回音，終於確信了Sasha被遺棄的事實，她需要找一個新家了。

前主人留給Sasha的只有一條骯髒的舊鐵鏈，顯然Sasha沒得到過太多的愛。剛獲救入屋的幾個星期，Sasha都顯得有點拘謹。

在暫託的照顧下，Sasha慢慢打開心扉，重新相信人類。現在的她不但對人友善，還十分嬌嗲，我們也漸漸發現Sasha亮眼的一面，不但能和狗狗相處，而且十分乖巧，在家中不會搗亂亦很少吠，懂得外出去廁所，上繩隨行亦難不倒她。

Sasha有著天使般的性格，而且只有16kg，是細身唐唐。如果有興趣和她親身相處，可以來今天1-6pm在佐敦逸東酒店4樓舉辦的領養日❤️

One rainy day, a kind-hearted individual came across Sasha, a lonely stray, with nothing more than a rusty chain. They took Sasha home and made efforts to locate her owner, but there was no response. Finally, it became evident that Sasha had been abandoned, and it was time for her to find a new home.

The previous owner had left Sasha with just a grimy old chain, a clear sign that she hadn't experienced much love. During the initial weeks after being rescued, Sasha appeared a bit reserved.

Yet, under the devoted care of her foster family, Sasha gradually opened up and regained her trust in humans. Now, she not only displays friendliness towards people but also showcases an incredibly affectionate side. We have also discovered Sasha's remarkable qualities. She gets along well with other dogs, behaves impeccably at home, rarely barks, goes potty outdoor and walks on a leash without any trouble.

She’ll be at today’s adoption event at 4/F, Eaton Hotel from 1-6pm. Come meet her if you’d like to give this sweet girl a home!

各位寵物主人，又到左一年一度既優質寵物用品展啦！今個星期五，六，日（10-12/5)，大家諗好點同心愛嘅寵物渡過周末？不如嚟灣仔會議展覽中心 Hall 3C-E參加優質寵物用品展2024。炎炎夏日可以帶埋心愛嘅寵係有冷氣既地方shopping，又可以同寵物放下電，還有打咭靚位，比你同毛孩影相留念，大家記住同埋你的好友摯愛, 帶埋愛寵一齊來shop番夠本！
