I was recently asked to offer my assistance at the POCUS workshop at EVECC 2026 in Edinburgh – an international stage alongside some of the brightest minds in veterinary emergency medicine.

Standing there, teaching point‑of‑care ultrasound to passionate nurses and vets from around the world, I felt a wave of gratitude.

All those late nights reviewing clips. All the difficult cases that pushed me to get better. All the hours spent refining how to teach this skill.

It wasn't wasted.

Every bit of hard work in POCUS education has led to this moment. And the best part? Seeing that "aha!" look on a learner's face when things click.

To everyone who trusted me with this role in the last minute– thank you. To everyone still grinding in POCUS – keep going. Your moment is coming. 🫀📱

Individuals that have successfully completed the online RECOVER CPR Course for Pet Owners and Pet Professionals have the option of obtaining certification as a RECOVER Certified Pet Rescuer®

The in-person RECOVER BLS/ALS Certification workshop is a hands-on workshop composed of a review of key concepts and practical training using simulated scenarios and software of performing BLS/ALS. The training is approximately 6-8 hours long with a practical assessment the participants must pass in order to obtain certification as a RECOVER Certified BLS/ALS Rescuer®

I would be giving a short presentation of a topic that is near and dear to my heart in the coming Asia Veterinary Nursing Conference 2026. It will be a good chance for you see how powerful a veterinary nurses could utilise POCUS to the patient daily exam and incorporate into our nursing plan.

The Short Communication sessions at AVNC 2026 provide a dedicated platform for veterinary nurses, assistants, students, and allied professionals to share concise, practice-focused insights with the wider community.

These sessions are designed to highlight case experiences, quality improvement initiatives, research findings, educational projects, and innovative approaches in veterinary nursing. Presentations are brief and focused, encouraging knowledge exchange, peer learning, and constructive discussion within a supportive academic environment.
