We’re always excited to have kids take a tour of our farm and taste the products. They had a lot of fun trying their hands on harvesting a few crops, and knowing how their food is grown.

【 】搞室內農場引入多元靚菜，港女冀改變本地糧食系統

甫進入由Jessica一手一腳建立、位於油塘工業的8500呎室內農場Common Farms，便能看見一排排整齊的層架，上面放置著各式各樣的食用花、微型蔬菜、特色藥草等。

在參觀過程中，Jessica一邊介紹室內農場的不同區域，一邊剪下一棵棵蔬菜讓記者逐一品嘗一番，新鮮採摘的蔬菜固然叫舌頭驚喜，但記者更意外的是，很多蔬菜在港都非常少見。

Beautiful kelp noodles with our purple basil as garnish and for the pesto sauce! We can’t wait to try it!

Purple basil almond pesto with kelp noodles 💜

My happy place is my kitchen. A place where my mind relaxes and where I feel at my most creative.

I recently have been experimenting with Common Farms produce and am so blown away by how delicious and flavourful everything I’ve tried is. This dish is made with their purple basil, which I’ve turned into a raw almond pesto, stirred into kelp noodles served with some olives, topped with chilli flakes and more fresh purple basil 👌

Common Farms has a vision to revitalize the local food industry in Hong Kong and they are doing just that. Their indoor vertical soil based farms utilise idle industrial space to grow over 10x the amount of produce as an equivalently sized outdoor farm. With their highly efficient approach to growing food in a densely packed city like Hong Kong, they can harvest and deliver exceptional produce at any day of the year!

We love getting feedback and creativity like this one from our community: “ Gochujang Chicken Sandwich, elevated with micro coriander. The coriander is powerful enough to stand up to the spicy Gochujang sauce, and kimchi slaw.”
Benefits of MicroCilantro: a great source of vitamin K, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. it also has very high level of antioxidants such as carotenoids lutein/ zeaxanthin, violaxanthin and beta carotene, which are extremely important for organ function and protecting cellular structures from damage!

Because speckled pea can grow so quick, it can be both a good and a bad thing for our operations. If we don't harvest them during the their optimal days (12-14 days), they can grow out of control. Though, we love seeing our plants grow so well and healthy, and we compost all of our organic matter, it is in our intention conserve resources (such as water, space and light for growing fibrous stems that is not great to eat). ⁠⁠

Our solution: It's all about precise timing from the time we sow to the time we harvest for the freshest, most tender and flavorful greens. ⁠⁠
