This weekend we participated in WCF International Cat Show in our hometown Rijeka with four cats, two adults and two kittens. They made us proud ππππ!
First and foremost, I want to thank the president of our Felis Croatia club Trpimir-Frane SuliΔ and everyone else involved in the organization of this beautiful event ππββ¬π.
We are very pleased that the kittens from our breeding showed an excellent exhibition temperament at such an early age of 4 months π₯°. All the effort put into their early socialization has once again proven to be the only correct way to raise kittens that will hopefully grow into confident show cats π.
Monteris Honey Bear and Monteris Haribo ππ got BIS nominations, Best in Show and Best Opposite S*x on both days including Best of Best 4th place π€©π₯³. I believe that the good show temperament of the kittens is also due to genetics as their father KungsgardenCats Makai Shark comes from exceptional show lines.
Our big teddy bear π didn't disappoint either, winning Best in Variety, BIS nomination and 6th place out of 12 in the King ring on Sunday π₯³. Thanks to his impressive size, sweet face and rich coloration, Makai was the biggest star among visitors of the show π₯°.
Our beautiful girl Amazongold Mercedes π was at the exhibition for the first time at the age of 10 months and 5 days. She was very talkative almost the entire show πΉ, but she still got BIS nomination, 1st place Queen ring on Saturday and 4h place Adult ring on Sunday π₯³π.
I want to thank the judges Mr. Kaai du Plessis and Mr. JΓΌrgen Trautmann for their kind words about our cats. Their professional opinion means a lot to me and serves as a guideline for our breeding program to continue to develop according to the highest WCF standards π.
It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Xinjan Hao, a young student judge from China π. We wish him all the best in his future career as a WCF judge.
On Saturday, after the exhibition, I attended the seminar "Ensuring Well-being of Cats at the Show and Preventing Infections at Home" held by Ines GuliΔ , DVM, a member of the WCF Animal Health and Welfare Commission. For us, education is as important as showing βΌοΈ and I am grateful to Ines GuliΔ and Trpimir Frane-SuliΔ for their constant efforts to further educate us breeders by organizing various seminars and lectures that we can attend.
A huge thank you to our friends and family who came to the show to support us β€οΈ, including our wonderful vets from Veterinarska praksa UvodiΔ π«Ά, to all lovely visitors who showed interest in our cats π€ and to Royal Canin Hrvatska for keeping our cats in top show condition π.
Photos are not the best quality as they are taken with our phones and some are blurry but they all very dear to me π.
For all of you who managed to get to the end of this long post π
, our next stop will be WCF Cat Olympia Show in Zagreb 31.05.-1.06. π€©, which is one of the biggest and the most prestigious International Cat Shows under the World Cat Federation (WCF).
We hope to see you there π»!
