Ken wanted to explore a bit south of where we currently rent and work,in Sarasota, to Punta Gorda FL. Babcock Ranch has an innovative design that was successful when tested against hurricane Ian last September 2022, didn't flood or lose power. Heard the developer Kit on NPR and pretty impressed to visit the discovery center and tour open models.

Pretty good view of the old town near dusk, but the real story that comes out is how much they had to rebuild after the most recent Balkan wars. Only the dull roof tiles are original. All the others were damaged during shelling in the war, and have been repaired since!

Serenaded every night we went to the Duomo. This one is opera! Let a little Milano come into your day.

Last minute treat of getting into Accademia Galleria to see the original David by Michelangelo. Later saw where the statue used to be, outside for 350 years! Now a copy stands in it's original spot. But it actually was designed with it's bigger hands to be up on a roof!
