Birthday weekend🥰

Lamar is already 8, seems it passed in a minute and little Malu is not so little anymore, she is 2.

They are quite different in character yet both so loveable. Easygoing and always ready for some action.
Both my shadows and soulmates.
Its impossible to name a favorite.

Another positive evaluation of our work. 🤘
Malu did another exam this weekend, 14.4.2024 RH-FL-V, with excellent work in searching😀 but due to a very sunny hot day, obedience was not so good, her brain melted😊
Now off to more serious testings, the world of grown ups.

First exam is behind us, Malu passed rubble exam RH-T-V this weekend. 🥰

We also had a 3 day seminar with excellent instructors and company.

Its always good to meet with people and share new ideas and experiences.

Lets see Lamar...
Now since he is experienced dog of course his tasks are much harder. The figurants are fully closed. And it is not easy to decide where to bark on the last figurant, because the odour was very small.
But he decided well
The figurants cannot reward him because they are too deep so I am rewarding him.
He is independant and moves well on rubble, and he is directable and has a good working energy.
The trick is to always try to set up the situations the dog can end successfully
He did well💪

Here is a short explanation on what we are watching on the video.🙃
Malu is a young bitch in training, she does not have a lot of experiance on this type of rubble, but has no problem with obstacles and moving on such terrain. She is searching for fully closed figurants and is locating them on odour only. To help her, and give her a chance to double check learn and gain confidence, there is a small hole where she can put her nose to be sure and also through this hole a figurant can reward her. The figurants stay in place after rewarding.
At the entrance while she is still on leash, there is a figurant and the wind is blowing his odour in her direction😉. The goal is to teach her to react even though she is not unleashed and given the search command. She did all her tasks very well💪

Obedience training, aport, holding the object, bringing the object #wocker #obediencetraining #sardogs

Aport is a complex excercise with many elements done by back chaining. Here we are learning on focusing while holding the aport, and ignoring the distractions and moves from the handler. Lamar is trying and did a good job❤️
