It consists of more than us five, but we’re the core, the pillars. Calpus is every dog bred in our kennel, and its owner(s). Calpus is every dog loving friend, and those that were helping us all these years. Calpus is every night spent awake while waiting for a birth, each phone call in the middle of the night seeking for help, each tear lost for our little ones… Cause with every loss we are sayin

g goodbye to one of our family member. Calpus kennel breeds for quality. Love toward our dogs and their welfare is at the first place. As breeders we can warrant that we took all necessary measures in breeding to ensure the best environment for raising puppies. Puppies bred by us are supplied with high quality food and required supplements, in order to maximize their performance. Our breeding is based on detailed pedigree study, following stud results and predicting outcomes, and though all puppies have the same conditions they are not all developing the same. During their earliest stages we can somewise predict their show and breeding potential. Throughout their growing phase, puppies change morphologically, based on their genetic predisposition but also considering environmental influences. We cannot foresee the latest outcome, and guarantee that a puppy will have outstanding show results. After all, champions are raised, not born.

When we were city dogs mum would match our collars and leads, we would have fancy hairstyle and be clean and groomed. 🐩

Now we are country dogs, we smell on horse manure as we do everyday visit to our neighbours horses 🐴, we are deep in mud from digging around the orchards and leads? We are lucky that she doesn't take us on a cow chain.⛓️

But we are happy old ladies and one gent having a time of our lives! 💖🐕‍🦺🐶😊🐾
