Hello everyone 🥰

We are officially done for the summer as we are moving back to Budapest for our final year of University.

As of next year my main focus will be my veterinary career as I graduate as a veterinarian in 2023 👩🏻‍⚕️🐾💉

I thank all the lovely people and furry friends I’ve met through pet sitting - It was an absolute pleasure and hope to see you all again soon in the future

A morning in the life of Coop:

6am: Time to rise and shine ☀️ and sniff some FLOWERS 🌸🌸

7am: brekky time 🐷🐷(puppy eyes given for treatos)

8am-11am: Cuddle timeeee 🥰 (Coop loves nothing more to be near you whilst you’re working, a little shadow. He doesn’t leave your side)

11am: Small p*e break before we go back to watch movies and get some snackos In the AC inside 😍

(We are making sure to avoid the sun during the worst hours in the morning/afternoon now, making sure the dogs only go out for a five min p*e walk during the hot hours, to stay safe 🙂 )

Little Miss Maddie had to go to the vets today.

This plant commonly grows in Malta, and , is known as “haffura”. It’s really easily embedded in the dogs ears or nose,and, may travel deeper and deeper into the or***ce 🙁

This often requires genera sedation to remove it ,and it, is important to get it seen as soon as possible.

Clinical signs for the plant being trapped in the ear:

•Visible shaking of the head
•Holding the head to one side on a “crooked” position

Today Maddie learnt that the hard way, as she got two stuck in her ear.

Heads up to everyone who takes the doggies walking in fields with these plants nearby 💛

Why Pet-sitting?

I don’t think there has been a single day in my life that I did not have the company of a four legged friend. Ever since I can remember I have always wanted to be a veterinary surgeon. I’ve followed my dream and I’m currently in my second year of studies. I have a long way to go before I can help animals medically so till then I’ve decided to surround myself with animals in other ways. A month after I moved to Budapest I fostered my first dog, a beautiful vizsla named Cookie. I’ve had many fosters since, each one with their own story and all stealing a huge part of my heart. Showing these fosters the love they deserve is definitely worth the heart-ache once they leave to their respective new homes.It was through fostering that I realised that there are so many ways I can help out and do my part. The organisation I foster for has many expenses to provide for. Knowing this I would like to put a percentage of the profit made through pet-sitting towards the organisation. I have definitely tried my hand with taking care of both easy,laid back dogs and those who are termed “difficult” or very energetic. I’m always up for a challenge regardless and have yet to meet a dog or animal that I’m not able to form a connection with.
