Zöldmáli Dunna (Lecso x Zsolna) showing how versatile the Wirehaired Vizsla is. With her young owner in Holland, they were selected as Search and Rescue dog to search for people in Spain in the flooding. Under difficult conditions they worked for 5 days. Amazing team work!

Proud as hell of these two Zoldmali girls in the USA:

Zoldmali Ilka is currently No. 1 Wirehaired Vizsla
Zoldmali Lujza is No. 1 Owner Handler Wirehaired Vizsla, and 3rd in breed overall. Both of them invited to next year’s Westminster!
Thanks to owners Gayle Nelson and Mark & Bonnie Goodwein for bringing these girls to so high levels.

Today was the last day of the World Championship. It was not our day with Pilla and Aqua. Overall the conditions very difficult in our group. Very tall grass and weeds we had to work the dogs in, where we hardly saw them, and the little wind was favouring the birds not the dogs. But on a brighter note, Zoldmali Irka- Firka (Trevor) at Canalgame in Team GB was graded a Very Good today and Zoldmali Jackie (DE) was graded Good today in the other group on the WC. Very proud of them!

Today Laszlo Pap is competing in the St. Hubert World Championship with Pilla. Pilla searched the fields with amazing style and drive, she found and pointed a pheasant in a ditch. Laci put his hand up signaling the judges that the dog is on point, than went on shooting the bird as it flushed. Pilla retrieved it on command. Great work from gun and dog. No 2nd bird found during the run. In the end the judges commented that they didn’t see the dog pointing… (well, obviously if they are far, than they cannot see the dog in the ditch). We will see how they evaluate the work overall in the end of the day. Laci was pleased with Pilla! 💪🤞

Zoldmali Aqua achieved a 5th place on the Mediteranian Cup in Croatia out of 43 Continental Pointing Dogs! The first Wirehaired Vizsla to achieve such high ranking! This even is part of the World Championship events, ran right before it.
Aqua scored both days a ‘Very Good’. This was a Field Trial ran in braces, something we hardly practice, especially not with other breeds, so I was not so sure, what to expect. Even though I felt she was not at her prime form, she still did well. I also ran Pilla, mother of Aqua. Pilla seems to be in the middle of false pregnancy, not so collected as usual. The downside of females and their hormones. 🤪

Also congratulations for Zoldmali Jackie and Andreas Hummel (DE) for the ‘Very Good’ grade on the 1st day.
It was lovely to meet up with friends from near and far and extended Zoldmali Family!

And while Aqua is continuing her success story of this year, some of her pups (4,5 months old) already started their first hunting season. Little Zara landed in a big hunting family, joining 3 other Zoldmalis to chase pheasants in SD. We love to hear from our extended Zoldmali family!

Zoldmali Jodli (GB) and Jackie (DE), two siblings out of Zoldmali Zokni and Django DDSH. Met them today in Croatia on the World Championship. So nice to see them again. Both have been doing very well in work in their own countries. Sister Java in USA just qualified for next year’s NAVHDA INVITATIONAL! Pleased with the litter.
