Versatile Champion (VC) Zöldmáli Java
A fantastic achievement from both dog and handler: yesterday Zoldmali Java gained a prize 1 at the NAVHDA Invitational in Iowa and became Versatile Champion. She is the 4th Zoldmali to own this title, and they all share Zoldmali Alma, my very first bred Wirehaired Vizsla as common ancestor. Alma was a very special dog, making history with her work and show achievements, holding the Vizsla of the Year title in Hungary for several years and giving a lot to this breed with her progenies. But let’s celebrate now Conny Hansen and Java, who worked extremely hard to achieve this title, and so much deserved this tribute. When I first met Conny, I never thought she will become such an ambitious and talented vizsla trainer and handler. Conny is one of the few who is not just doing the talk but actually does it. She might not have the time to brag a lot on social media but she spends a great amount of time promoting the breed on trainings, tests and guiding on hunt. Only those know, how much work it takes to make a NAVHDA Versatile Champion dog, who has already done it. In 2019 I qualified with both Puma and Extreme to the 2020 Invitational (being the first European dogs to qualify), but unfortunately we couldn’t participate due to Covid. Still I prepared my two for the test, and it was hell of a hard work. So my gratitude goes to Conny and Java, as well as the earlier Zoldmalis and owners: Tanya Gates with Z. Szinva, Denise Doll-Kiefer with Z. Nemes and Emery Mersich with Z. Ibis.
