3rd Day - Medan Part 1

On the 3rd day, we took the earliest Whoosh High-Speed train to catch a flight from Jakarta Aiport to Kualanamu Airport.

We then visited the Pond and Office of Mr. Jusuf Effendy in the heart of Medan City. Mr. Jusuf is probably the most serious Koi hobbyist in Medan or even the whole Sumatra Island at the moment.

His love for Quality and Jumbo Sized Koi is apparent in his koi collection. He cares so much about the condition of his Koi and how to treat them when they're infected with any disease. We tried feeding his koi with Konishi Gold Medal, our premium sinking feed and the appetite of his Koi was very good.

2nd Day - Bandung

Last stop of the 2nd day was the pond of Mr. Djudju Suryana.

Mr. Djudju is a seasoned koi keeper who has been consistent in this hobby for more than 20 years. His Koi pond is a must-see place for every Japanese breeder visiting Bandung, normally during Koi Show Season Event organized by ZnA Bandung Chapter.

Mr. Djudju showed us some of his own-bred Kawarigoi such as Chagoi and Ki Matsuba that have grown Jumbo in his pond. We're always amazed by his collection and how fast Koi can grow here.

2nd Day - Bandung

After judging our SPR Azukari Event, we went to visit the Pond of Mr. Evan.

Mr. Evan is a relatively new Koi keeper who started the hobby only in the last few years but his commitment and love for Koi are surely commendable.

He has 2 Koi ponds with advanced filtration system and 1 pond is specifically assigned for Koi Varieties with no Beni (Red Pigmentation) such as Shiro Utsuri and Karashigoi. We were amazed that some Konishi Karashigoi that we supplied, have grown and improved much in his pond.

2nd Day - Bandung

After visiting Mr. Tesar Gusmawan's pond, we drove all the way back to our shop in Bandung as Mr. Makoto Konishi had to judge the results of our Secret Pond Reborn (SPR) Azukari Event. The growth and progress (from Aug 2024 to Jan 2025) of each Koi sold in this event has been documented in Photos and Videos.

A few customers came and attended the judging process. They also had some good discussion about Koi Keeping with Mr. Makoto Konishi.

2nd Day - Jakarta
In the morning, we went to visit the home and Koi Pond of Mr. Tesar Gusmawan who has recently dominated the Koi Show Scenes both in Japan and Indonesia. Not only keen on Koi Shows, Mr. Tesar is a highly dedicated Koi keeper who makes sure that his Koi Fish are always in their best condition by having state-of-the-art filtration system and technology on his Koi Pond.

1st Day - Jakarta
After Mr. Makoto's arrival at Jakarta airport, we went straight for dinner with Konishi Indonesia Friends at P*K Area. We had a very long and fun discussion about all aspects of Koi Keeping and Koi Industry. Glad to meet some of our customers that we've never met before but have been shopping with us in the last few years. They are also very satisfied with Premium Koi Food from Konishi.
