❗️Donations urgently needed for Taro❗️

We got the tests back after Taro’s rescue post, and it was exactly what we feared.

The wound is a large, cancerous tumor—too large and in too delicate of an area to remove.

Chemotherapy was a given as the only treatment option, but even then, it would not reverse the cancer—only slow its growth.

Best case, it gives her a bit more time. Worst case, it strips away any enjoyment in life she has in her last few months—chemo-sick and in and out of the vet.

We’ve spent weeks going back and forth with vets and each other about what to do about Taro.

We don’t want her to suffer.

She needs almost daily vet visits because of the open wound on her face. The wound ruptures and needs constant attention.

At the same time, Taro’s foster mom sends us pictures of her purring and climbing onto her lap for cuddles, sitting in the warm morning sun, and chasing after string.

She may have been rescued too late to treat the cancer, but she’s enjoying her first taste of safety and finally can just be a cat.

We want to give her the chance to enjoy this.

Just a few days ago, we got a third option—to partially remove the tumor.

Just to help her quality of life in her final months. A clean surgical site could relieve her discomfort and decrease the chance of infection.

After long discussions, her surgery is scheduled for tomorrow.

We have another issue, though.

Our current vet bill is over 54 million (almost \$4,000), and that’s NOT including Taro’s surgery.

We desperately need to get this bill down to be able to continually care for a special case like Taro.

Please consider a one-time donation.

Every dollar counts. 🙏

You can donate through PayPal or DM us for bank info to transfer directly to the vet. ❤️

Thank you. 🙏

The first time tiny void kitten Char was allowed in the café, he was SO excited that he exhausted himself chasing the big cats—and ended up catching the flu 😷.

After a week of isolation, second time’s the charm! 🤞 Let’s hope Char can find it within his excited little body to chill out and take things slow this time 🐾.

Susu may have been returned to the café for not using her litter box, but we think we’ve found her strong suit! 💪 She’s easygoing, happy to meet new people, and doesn’t mind the occasional field trip outside the café—making her the perfect ambassador for Odd Cat adventures 🐱✨

Come meet all of our good (and naughty) cats at the café, every day from 10AM to 5PM! 🖤

Little old man Picatso has finally found his forever person! 😍

You can’t see Picatso very well through his mesh window im his carrier on the second slide, but know we’ve had lots of lovely news about how happy he is as an only child with his new papa!

First slide is Buntet, abandoned in boarding and then losing his brother suddenly, he’s another adoption we’re very excited to see!

Also see Rosè on her new cat tree in her forever home! 🥰

Miss Polly Pocket is here to serve 👅

This nine year old senior girl only has one singular tooth so please forgive her if she’s staring at you with this face. We promise she’s not teasing you. Polly is one of the sweetest, older girls and one of our longest Odd Cat residents at over ❗️FIVE❗️ years waiting for her forever home!

Polly does not have any eating or health issues and would be perfect for someone looking for a chill and calm energy cat.

Tommy, on the other hand, is a busy, busy boy! He was actually being quite clever here and holding his dish down for some extra leverage. But still- toe beans in wet food. 🐾

Come visit all our good and naughty cats in our cafe this week! 💕

The Odd Cat Bali

The Odd Cat Bali opened its door in November 2016.

Since the opening, we have rescued over 350 cats and kittens and found homes for over 230 of them. Our goal when we started the cafe was to support Villa Kitty Fundation by taking fully vaccinated kittens from them, and have them up for adoption in the cafe. As more people started knowing about us, people started dumping more kittens, hence making it harder for us to directly support Villa Kitty.

We are not a shelter, but we do take in cats and kittens when we can. They all need to be checked by a vet, then vaccinated (2 times) and sterilised once they are big enough. The profit from cafe is enough to support the number of residents (15 cats), but all the new rescues need financial support. We appreciate any kind of donations to help with the new rescues.

In July 2017, we opened a small boarding facility as many people were asking for this kind of service. It has been a great financial support to all the rescues and we hope we can develop this for the future.
