We have 30 dogs (and cat) at the moment, all found on the streets and beaches, or brought to us. We started with 2 puppies dumped on the side of Jalan Teuku Umar in 2014. From this day we have fed, housed and loved many dogs. Some dogs have found new families, some did not survive. https://donorbox.org/bali-paw-mission

Many tens of thousands of innocent dogs are slaughtered in Bali every year. Numbers of pure Bali dogs on the island have plunged in a decade from around 800,000 to approximately 150,000. Inadequate Animal Welfare Law enforcement, poor judgement from local authorities, overall indifference and a lack of education have lead to indiscriminate mass killings of the Bali Heritage Dog. Despite endless efforts by numerous animal protection organisations, the uncalled-for culling and dog meat trade of this unique breed, which originates from one of the oldest breeds on the planet, continue relentlessly. Lately, the already appalling situation has taken yet another sickening turn: Stay-at-home pets thought have been kept out of harm’s way, safely within the community compound’s gates, have been brutally murdered through poisoning. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP? Our top priority is getting the stray dogs that are currently under direct threat out of their “death trap” by offering them a place to stay at our Bali Paw Mission: A safe haven for those in need until a permanent home is found for them. We‘ve created a simple, sustainable model that offers direct support to animal rescuers in Bali. Our selfless rescuers financially currently cover part of the “room rate” of our rescued furry guests, but this is not substantial to keep our project up and running. We are hoping to cover the remaining funds through either monthly, yearly or ad-hoc contributions from any animal lovers out here willing to lend a helping paw. It goes without saying that this concerns an emergency situation and we heavily rely on your contribution! Therefore, we urgently request your help with raising the necessary funds to keep our dogs safe. For less than EUR 3,50 or USD 4 (IDR 50,000) per day you can help save a Bali Dog! A BIG THANK YOU goes out to all animal lovers out there who care
