Here's more of not-cats! Because

Three little baby chickens arrived one by one. First came Sirkku, who had injured legs and couldn't walk. Next came Pertti, who also had injured legs and couldn't even stand up. Then Martti jumped on our GrumpyOldCatlady's shoulder one morning when she was finishing her morning run, and it turned out Martti had a serious eye infection and couldn't see properly, and was looking for help. Help he got, he jumped on the right human!

Everyone is doing well now. The rooster boys Pertti can walk, Martti can see. Chicken girl Sirkku gets along fine but propably can never walk normally, her foot is disfigured so she'll always be a little slow to move around.

Yesterday GrumpyOldCatlady built them a house outside, and they moved to their new luxurious big villa yesterday.

Cats love it too. It's better than Netflix, watching the little chickies.

MEOWMEOW dear folks and felines! We have fantastic news: Supervet Rini is coming for a visit soon!

We will have FREE CAT CLINIC on November 27-28.

Hopefully. The huge volcano eruption (Lewotobi mountain in Flores) is spitting out so much ash, there's already been tons of flight delays and cancelations. Fingers crossed vet Rini gets to fly over as planned! If not, we will just reschedule a bit.

We will post more information about the clinic when the dates are closer.

Phew busy day, million things to do. And then someone walked past us and left a kitten in front of our shop.

And that's perfectly fine. We happily take in kittens, or even bigger cats. I rather see them dropped here than just thrown out wherever.

New kitten is here safe now, has food and everything. Seems healthy, eats ok. Tomorrow there'll be deworming, flea baths etc. 😊

So, welcome little kitten! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Goat Girl update:
She's doing quite well! I see her skin getting a bit better (see the last photo). She eats really well now, and not only moringa leaves. She likes cabbage, and fried tempeh (that's what she's chewing in the pictures).

And she's not scared any longer. When I brought her home, she was so scared she was shaking. No wonder, imagine you're kidnapped, someone puts you in an empty plastic sack and carries away, then being thrown in jail, and injected with needles. Who wouldn't be terrified?

But she seems relaxed now and I'm hoping she's relieved to be safe and not having to struggle finding food and water any longer.

I have to think of a name for her, but that'll come when she heals and I can see how she really looks like and who she really is. ❤️

Oh my freaking whiskers, Mäkkis McCoy is never gonna leave the house again! House arrest, for the rest of his life!

McCoy is my special soul mate, and yeah you shouldn't have favorites, but he certainly is mine. Not only because his FIP treatment earlier this year cost us 6million+ rupiah, but because he IS special. As soon as he was brought to us last year, from south Lombok... we had a connection right away.

Our daily routine is I let him out every morning when I wake up, and he runs around the neighborhood a couple of hours, and when I get home from my own morning run, he waits by the door to be let back into the house.

Yesterday he was not there when I got back from my run. He was not there when I got home from cat shop in the afternoon. He was nowhere to be found. Neighbours told he had been on their roof earlier in the day meowing like mad because he didn't know how to get down, but that's the last anyone saw of him.

I was up most of the night. I was stressed and worried and scared. Checking if he's behind the door every few hours. No sign of him. I got up after 4am, no sign of him. I went to cat shop to feed kittens at 5am, didn't see McCoy on my way there.

On my way back, as I reached our home hoods, McCoy was sitting by the road, waiting for me, like nothing happened. He jumped up when he heard and saw my bicycle and came running. Omg. He's alive, he's ok, HE WILL NEVER LEAVE THE HOUSE AGAIN!

Damn cats. Gotta love 'em ❤️

Whaddaaaahell did that GrumpyOldCatlady bring home now? Jones and Satsuma are not sure about how they feel about this new creature that just moved to their back garden.

Yes, it's a goat. A little girl. With such a horrible fungal infection/scabies she could barely walk, has trouble seeing, and hearing (I think, hard to say). But she's safe now, and receiving treatment and medication she desperately needs. Hopefully she will get well soon.

(Yay we have a goat! I love her already! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️)

Loud warm purrrrrr to Jules and friends who, every year, grow little plants (tomato babies!), sell them and donate the profits to us. Such an amazing idea and so sweet our little cat project here in Indonesia keeps on touching people's hearts.

Miz Houdini here! We're doing ok, our eye infections are healing already, so no worries!

We had a busy morning, we managed to rip open a big chicken food bag. Omg so much fun! You should've seen our GrumpyOldCatlady's face when she got here and saw chicken food everywhere, quite hilarious 😅

But now gotta go, it's nap time!

Ugh. Starting the week with eye infections. Our 3 Lombok kittens all have infected eyes now, and they are not their happy selves at all. 😟 Hopefully medicines help fast 😬

BomBom died last night. He was just too sick and it was simply too late for medicines and miracles to work their magic.

I wrapped his body in white sheets and then messaged BomBom's family. They contacted me later in the morning and I went and took BomBom back to his home. It was heartbreaking. BomBom's mom broke into tears, holding BomBom in her arms. We were all crying. You could see how much this big tabby cat was loved during his life, and how much he will be missed.

It totally sucks to be sick! Cat BomBom was brought to us yesterday afternoon and he is really really sick. Not eating, weak, very dehydrated, just miserable. I wasn't sure he's gonna live to see another day.

BomBom is a big, strong cat, so even if things look bad, he just might pull through. With a little help. We put him on antibiotics, vitamins, painkiller. We gave fluids. Tried force feeding but he absolutely refused to take in any food. Luckily he drinks a little.

He has survived the night. Things still look bad, but he hasn't given up yet. ❤️We don't give up either, as long as there's even a little bit hope

Everyone deserves a chance. Sometimes they may need a miracle too. Fingers toes paws tails all crossed for BomBom. Send healing vibes his way, please!

All the fuses Little Miss Houdini has... Well, I think they just exploded. She's never seen so much cat food in her life! 😁

Yes, it's cat food delivery day today. Hundreds of kilos of dry food, about 200 cans, dozen boxes of wet food sachets, and 250kg of toilet litter for our poopy arses.

Look at that face! Sweet Gading came to stay with us for a few days, because she doesn't want to eat. We think she might have urinary track infection, which can get very bad very fast. We want to see Gading p*e, which she already did, woop woop, so she's not blocked, thank goodness. She's on medication now and hopefully she soon feels better and remembers that eating is awesome!

Gading is super sweet and takes her medicines without any protest. Fingers crossed she'll be ok and can go back home soon. ❤️

Little kitty having breakfast at 4:30am. ♥️ Feeling super grateful, he didn't wake up during the night at all! I expected him to demand food at some point but nope, he slept all through the night. (More importantly: so did I. I turn into a demon if I don't get enough sleep) His little cage is right next to my bed so I hear if he's up and hungry, but he was sleeping so happily didn't hear a beep until I got up and checked on him.
