โช๏ธ Ringworm (dermatophytosis) is a fungal infection that can be caused by around 40 types of fungus ๐.
โช๏ธ Cats can contract ringworm in various ways, especially through direct contact with an infected animal or surface.
โช๏ธ The spores of the fungus can live in the environment for a long time and are not species-specific, meaning they can infect and be spread by different animals, including humans.
โช๏ธ The spores can be brought to the island by other animals, people, or objects that have come into contact with the fungus. ๐พ Once present in the environment, the spores can be spread through the air or by attaching to animals or objects.
โช๏ธ Cats can get ringworm by coming into contact with these spores.
โช๏ธ Preventing ringworm involves maintaining good hygiene, ๐งผ regularly cleaning and disinfecting, and minimizing contact with infected animals or contaminated objects.
โช๏ธ It's important to treat infected cats promptly to prevent the spread of the infection.
