It is an AMAZING feeling when you have this connection with the horse and the horse is responding to everything you do - your energy, posture, focus, inner picture and inner feeling. Trust the horse, trust yourself. When the horse comes running towards you when you invite her, you are just blown away...

Our student Daniel Saunders did a great job.

As you can see, this session is not carried out in a round pen or small area. The horse has the choice to go away or stay.

Havana Horses is not an ordinary horse riding school. At Havana Horses you learn about natural horse behavior, herd dynamics and leadership skills, and you learn to speak horse language!

When you plan a first time visit, please take some time and book at least a 1,5 hour or 2 hours session. Do not be surprised when your first lesson will consist of a lot of talking and exchanging ideas. You will learn about natural horse behavior, how to communicate with the horse in a way the horse understands, we do groundwork and grooming, and then, when there is still time, riding with the ba****ck pad using a natural riding style.

If you have only one hour to spend and you just want to ride and make photos and videos for your Instagram or Tiktok account, there are hundreds of other places where you can do that where horses are made into business.

At Havana Horses our horses are like our family. Hurry and/or a hidden agenda is not much appreciated by our horses. Going with the flow certainly is!

What a wonderful weekend!

For many riders who have been riding at a traditional stable, the change to our classical, natural style of riding can be very confusing at first.
Instead of 'pull harder', we teach 'give more';
instead of 'kick harder', we teach 'legs just hang down, connect with your seatbones';
instead of using a whip or spurs, we teach 'give direction with your belly button'!

Using our inner picture, focus, and energy level makes so much sense to the horse as this is the way they communicate in the herd. The horse appreciates it so much, when we take the effort learning to speak horse language, which is prompt, precise, and polite!
