Recently, where I live, the weather is often erratic due to the effect of La Nina which started in October and is expected to end in February next year.

I want to share with the experience I had while facing this erratic weather, one of the male shama I failed during the molting process.
why it is called a failure, because this bird is a chicks from a male with a tail length of 10.6 inches and a female parent with a tail length of 6.9 inches, but at the time of the molting process, these chicks have a tail length of only 6.3 inches.

There are several factors that I estimate that cause this bird to fail, first environmental factors that cause the bird to be exposed to heat stress, this can happen because the temperature in my area reaches 34 degrees Celsius, with humidity of more than 75%. The second factor is that because of feed management, I provide feed with high protein content and high energy. I do this to support the bird's nutritional needs. In fact, what I did was wrong with high protein, a larger metabolic process that causes a bird's body to heat up while processing these nutrients resulting in the bird becoming a cannibal on its own feathers.

Genetics, food and environment can greatly affect the growth of an individual. these three factors if one of the three factors is not met, then an individual will not grow optimally.

But even though the molting process on this shama puppy failed, I still like it because this bird has a charming style

This is My first post and I'm just learning how to conserve bird's, Maybe these two bird's Will color the bloodlines in captivity in the next few years

The two bird's came from the N'R BirdFarm Purwodadi, from parent named pecut..
Hatch on April 25, 2020 and April 26, 2020 which I named Viroo and Jackxy..

Maybe in your mind it dosen't really matter, but it exceeds my expectations, it's six years faster than i thought.
