Everyone say hello to Odin! A chow X with a labrador. The first pic is from his first groom 3 months ago, and the 2nd pic is from his 2nd groom today. Look at how he has grown!! 😅🤣 An adorable bundle of joy that brightened up my day. Products/tools used in today's groom:

Things you should know before you bring your dog to CA'S PET Grooming Service.

1. If you have a morning appointment, make sure your dog dosent eat prior to the groom, if you have an afternoon appointment, try to give a light meal, a nervous dog unfortunately can have accidents.
2. Make sure your dog does his/her toileting prior to coming in.
3. Make the drop off as stress free as possible. Drop the dog off and walk away, as if it's no big deal. If the owner is nervous/stressed the dog will react to this.
4. Make sure to collect your dog within 15 mins of the collection message being sent. I am a 1 to 1 groomer, so 10euro will be applied if you go over the 15 minute collection time, unfortunately I am not able to board dogs and other dogs in can be reactive and cause stress.
5. If you are on a regular schedule please make sure to book in for your next appointment for you leave.

Time for a before, during, and after! Leonardo needed some TLC and left a few pounds lighter. 🤣 Please remember, matting is painful for your furbaby, so the rule is always comfort over vanity. When matting gets completely compacted, the only solution is a complete shave down with a safety blade. ❤️🐾

Luna belle in for her treatments today! Luna is a Sproodle so for the poodle in her I made her face more poodle like today! Matting around the mouth can be a big problem in any of the oodle breeds. So a clean cut can be ideal around the mouth/face. Luna is such a sweet girl and deserves to look her best. 💓💗💓

This is Monty. He's a 12 year old labrador that comes in for deshedding every 6 to 8 weeks. He's divine, such a sweet dog. As a senior dog, it's important to know how to manage him while he's in for his grooming session.
Assist him on to the grooming table and into the bath. I see if he needs breaks and allow him to sit down or lay down on the table when he gets tired. Water breaks, as grooming is thirsty work!! Consistent dog grooming is important because you check lumps, bumps, or sores and make sure no differences have occurred since the last session. I apply a balm to his sores (pics below). Nail trimming is also very important with senior dogs. Long nails can hinder mobility further.
Most important is that Monty is safe,comfortable, and happy at all times. He's still very young at heart and loves to play catch after his session. 😊🥰
