The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) has published the nematodirus forecast for 2025.
Peak Hatch in the NW is end March to first week in April so at-risk lambs (that is, typically 6 to 12 weeks of age and grazing on contaminated pasture) should be treated approximately two weeks after the peak of Nematodirus egg hatching, so an easter treat for you all!
However, consideration should be given to dosing lambs earlier on individual farms where clinical signs consistent with Nematodirus are observed, as the above treatment guidelines are based on estimated peak hatching of eggs.
