We have been notified that we won’t have any electricity next Wednesday 21st August 9am-5.30 so unfortunately will have to close for the day. We will be unable to dispense any products this day or provide anything for small animals other than basic emergency care as all our diagnostic equipment requires electricity. If you require any products next week please ensure that you leave enough time to pre-order and collect it in advance of Wednesday or from Thursday onwards. If your pet is sick between now and Wednesday please ensure they are seen before Wednesday. Thank you.

These 2 brothers were rescued from a roadside several weeks ago and have been staying with us, but they are now ready to find their forever home. Ideally we would like them to stay together. They are so full of fun, friendly, fully litter trained and have had their first vaccines. They are a brilliant pair and we have all fallen in love with them- they deserve the best home!! If you are interested in them please phone the clinic and we can answer any questions you may have.

We are looking for a very special home for this special girl. Fostered by her current family for several years she is finding life in a busy home difficult to navigate. She is very much loved but is finding it hard to have other dogs around her and so we are helping her owners find the perfect home where she can relax and enjoy life.
Ideally this home would have no other dogs and no children.
She is extremely affectionate and loves to cuddle up on the couch and go for walks.
Her family are heartbroken to take this step but know it is the best thing to allow Ruby to live her best life.
If you have a Ruby shaped hole in your life and you would like a loyal friend by your side please phone our office.
We will only allow Ruby to go to a 5 star home so please genuine enquiries only.

It’s not too often you see puppies so chilled out you get to do their vaccinations and health checks whilst they’re still asleep!!!😂😍 These gorgeous 8 week old Newfoundland beauties are just as adorable awake as they are asleep😍😂

Following reports of kittens being handed out to kids in Baltinglass we are urging people to be responsible and neuter your cats!!!!!! To help we will be running a subsidised neutering week in July in conjunction with Cats trust (formerly Aughrim cat rescue) to help facilitate this. Exact details will be announced next week. Should you be offered a kitten or cat in this manner please contact either ourselves or Aughrim cat rescue.

LEPTO ALERT!!! We have had a number of lepto cases recently. This can be fatal and can also affect humans(Weil’s disease). NB!!!! VACCINATION IMMUNITY FOR LEPTO ONLY LASTS ONE YEAR!!!!! It is spread in mice/rat urine so can be picked up anywhere by dogs(drinking from puddles, eating grass that a mouse has peed on etc. If your dog hasn’t had a vaccination in the last year please get your dog vaccinated!!!!

Grant is also looking for a new home. This beautiful gentle giant is just adorable but loves being king of the castle preferring to live as the only cat in the house so ideally would be more suited to a home where he is the only feline. He is good with dogs and kids and so loveable. 🥰

🥳🥳 We’re delighted to say this nervous little girl has been placed in a fantastic experienced home which will hopefully become her long term home if no one comes forward to claim her in the meantime. Thank you for all the interest and shares. We do know of 2 other small dogs needing a home together and a collie who is needing rehomed so if you are thinking of rehoming please get in touch. We will contact all the people who have been in touch with us shortly.

Unfortunately no one has come forward for this little girl so we are looking to find someone to take her as the clinic environment is not ideal. She is still quite nervous so will need time and tlc. Christmas Throwaways!!!😡😢 These 3 beauties were found early yesterday morning in the dark on a back road after being dumped!!! They were found by one of our amazing clients! Initially we thought that they had been stolen but thanks to great investigative work with amazing help from local charities it was discovered that unfortunately they had just been dumped. Please please please if you cannot look after your pet for any reason leave it to a rehoming centre, go to a vets, pet store or leave it anywhere really where there are people who can help, but do not leave them on their own, in the dark, on the side of the road!!!!!😡 Thankfully these have all found fantastic homes and are currently setting in safe and sound snug in their beds tonight, but this could have had such a different outcome!! Thanks so much to Aughrim cat rescue and T.N.R especially Denise Candy for the amazing never ending help and also Baltinglass gardaí for their help. Here’s hoping but unfortunately knowing that it won’t be the last story of its type this Christmas. 😢🙈
