I received a call from John Carrig of The Barn Owl Project about this little soul that arrived into Ormonde Veterinary clinic, Borrisokane after he was found at the side of a road.
The poor thing is only a fledgling and is quite underweight. He has a lot of bruising around his leg which could have been caused by a collision with a car but thankfully escaped without any fractures. The recent heavy rain can put a lot of pressure on barn owls whose feathers are not very water proof. This leaves them unable to hunt and many juveniles will die of starvation💔 This little one has received some anti inflammatory and pain relief so is feeling much better. We will do our best for him.
Thank you to Saoirse for collecting him and meeting me today. We would be lost without you.❤️

Max , german shepherd has been missing since 3pm Saturday in Abbeyville, Lorrha area. Ran away during the thunder. Any sign of him ring the practice at 067 27366 or give us a message.
