Happy Easter everyone!!!

Our Easter Camp went well and was enjoyed by the 12 children who attended. This year we ran from Tuesday - Thursday and fortunately escaped the very wet weather!

Thank you to the instructors, Aisling and Tina who made it fun for the kids.

On Thursday we had Bold studios here shooting for Horseware’s new line celebrating their 40 yr anniversary - it was a full day finishing up with our Domino and Ally Murphy flying up the fields just before dark 😂 🚀 it took a few attempts for the jeep to keep up !!

We hosted the Annual Universities Colours competition between UCD and TCD last Sunday. Dressage and Prix Caprilli were held in the morning and showjumping after lunch. Approximately 40 riders competed on the day and both team and individual events were held. The standard was high and there was an exciting climax to both dressage and showjumping where the two finalists each rode both horses to decide the winner. UCD emerged as winners of the showjumping, while TCD took the Honours in both the Dressage and Prix Caprilli. AIRE Association of Irish Riding Establishments

🇮🇪 IURCA Trials 2025 🇮🇪

On Sunday the Irish Universities Riding Clubs Association (IURCA) squad trials were hosted here at Brennanstown. 14 riders from different universities were assessed with the best riders being picked to represent Ireland at upcoming international university competitions being held across Europe.🤩

Well done to everyone who took part and best of luck to the riders selected for the squad!🍀👏

Thanks to Freddy Pritchard for the beautiful pictures of our wonderful horses. 📸🦄

Thankfully we survived storm Eowyn - while there were some trees down, with one blocking the lane up to the fields, slates off roofs and minor damage to one of the small walls of our outdoor arena, importantly all our staff and horses/ponies were safe. As you can see, our doggie residents were not too worried about the weather as they relaxed on their rugs in the calm after the storm. 💨🐶

23/01/2025

Please note due to Storm Eowyn and the countrywide red weather alert Brennanstown Riding School will be closed for lessons and rides tomorrow (Friday 24 January). Term riding will go ahead as normal on Saturday 25 January.
Take care Everyone and keep safe!

We welcomed back our regular group riders for the start of the Easter Term last Saturday (thankfully in much better weather conditions than earlier that week!), while the weekday term riders started on Monday. All seemed to get on well and we hope they will enjoy the rest of this term which finishes the week before Easter itself.

We also said 'goodbye' to Lina, a very popular and hard working German student, who has finished her 5 month work experience with us and is 'driving' home before her next placement in Australia. She will be greatly missed and we wish her the best of luck in her future career

The New Year got off to a busy start with our Christmas/New Year Pony Camp taking place from 2 to 4 January, finishing just in time before the recent cold spell set in. The camp proved to be an active three days for those taking part, culminating in a fun show and prize giving last Saturday afternoon.

Now that the Christmas and New Year festivities are behind us, our Easter Term of lessons commenced this weekend and will continue for the 14 weeks between now and Easter week. Most Saturday groups are fairly full, but there are still spaces available on the Monday, Thursday and Friday 15.30 groups.

The Children's Christmas Show on Saturday 21 December went really well despite 'Santa' being too busy to come himself this year. However, Rudolf (aka Broe) and the 3 Elves (aka Maggie, Lulu and George) stole the show!
