I was on a dog food run this morning and passed no less than 8 people walking dogs on the buncrana road at 12.30pm in 28 degree heat! 🥵
YOUR DOG WILL NOT DIE FOR WANT OF A WALK! 😡
Try to walk your dog before 10am and after 6pm. Remember concrete, tar, sand on the beach, retain heat and can burn the pads on their feet.
So be cool 😎 and keep them cool! 🙏

The weather is so awful here today folks, blowing a gale and torrential rain ☔️🌪. I won't be able to do the usual round of videos and pictures, but rest assured, your babies are all tucked up cosy and safe. Hopefully tomorrow will bring better weather and it will be business as usual 🙏😊

Check we have a space available for your dates before you click to 'buy'! 2. Take into account: travel departure/return days & time differences! ✈️ time for travel to & from the airport/ferry, down the country etc. It's easy to take a day or two off your booking, but it might not be so easy to add on days to your departure/return at a later date 😬 3. If your plans change, please let us know! We don't charge cancellation fees, but we DO need to know 🙏 4. Will your pets vaccinations be in date/up to date on their arrival day? Check with your vet 🐕 🐈‍⬛ 🐩 5. Reserve your space early to avoid last minute disappointments 😭

Just the odd space free now in October, as always, we advise checking with us before clicking to buy that sneaky autumn break 😁 We are also gearing up for the busy Christmas 'shopping trip', 'work do', concert, and party season, so plan early! Our fully indoor heated accommodation is limited so book early to avoid disappointment 😭

Swillyvalley Boarding Kennels & Cattery sits in the beautiful countryside of east Donegal, on the edge of the village of Bridgend, a convenient 10 mins from Derry/Londonderry city centre, and only 15 minutes from the City of Derry airport. We began as a professional show kennels in the 1970’s and have produced from Swillyvalley breeding, Irish, English, American and International champions in our various breeds over the years.

Now that we have retired from the show ring, we offer safe, professional, and reliable holiday accommodation for your pet all year round in our purpose built kennels and cattery. Your pet will be cared for by our experienced and trained staff providing a peaceful & loving environment where the welfare of your pet is our priority.

With over 40 years of experience behind us and a wealth of canine and feline knowledge, we can ensure a safe and pleasant stay for your pet and happy holidays for all!
