A very stark reminder today that however well trained, however well exposed, and however well “desensitised”, horses will (and should) always retain their fright and flight response.
To anyone “non-horsey”, or to any “horsey” people who think horses shouldn’t react extremely to a sudden loud noise, or something they deem dangerous, please find it in yourselves to show some respect to a prey species. Yes, horses are allowed on the roads, and were on the roads long before motor vehicles.

🔸Starting Friday 27th Oct we have our Halloween themed showjumping starting at 6pm sharp! Everyone welcome😎
🔸From Saturday 28th Oct-Sunday 5th October we have day camps on! 10-3pm to suit all levels 🤠
🔸Monday 30th October we are galloping down Stragill beach to start the week off right, all welcome! Limited space so booking essential 🐎
🔸Friday 3rd Nov, we are holding our experience camp with theory classes, BHS training, advanced jump/ flat work lessons, stable management and a chase me Charlie 👻

On Friday 27th October we have the second of our autumn shows! This one is set to be a spooky one 👻 with a Halloween themed dress code! We will have :
💀 best Halloween costume - rider and pony
👻 cross poles- 1m jumping classes
🎃chase me Charlie class
🦇 rosettes to all competitors 🏅

The show is open to all our clients. Help is on hand for the tiny tots around the small classes! 😁

We have a line up of super treats for everyone over the Halloween half term break!
🕸️ Friday 27th we continue with our Friday night show!
🕸️ Monday 30th we are having a beach ride 🐎 💨
🕸️ Tuesday 31st - Thursday 2nd we will have pony camps with fancy dress on the Tuesday and the day filled with loads of spooky games and activities!
🕸️ Friday 3rd we will have an experienced camp day which will have fun games/ jumping clinics and tips to be your best on show day!
