Return to routine work

We will be once again facilitating routine work (vaccinations, neteuring surgeries etc.).

This work will be carried out on an appointment basis only. No walk ins, except in an emergency.

Appointments will be well spaced out, with at least 30 minutes between each appointment time, and limited numbers of appointments available each day.

Routine surgery appointments will be available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings only. These will also be in limited numbers.

Thank you for your co-operation.

What if I am self isolating, and my pet needs to see the vet?

Unfortunately if you are self isolating in the same household as your pet, we will not be able to offer any routine appointments until your period of self isolation is over.

However if you pet requires emergency care, we would ask that a healthy friend or family member, not in self isolation, transports your pet to our clinic. We will then follow our โ€œappointment protocolโ€, but can call you at your home to discuss your petโ€™s history and our treatment plans.

05/06/2020

What if I need to come into the consult room with my pet?

Owners may feel they need to be in the consultation room with their pet for many reasons including separation anxiety or aggression.
If you feel you need to be in the consultation room with your pet, we will discuss this with you, and decide on a case by case basis.

If you do hope to be in the consult room, you are asked to bring a face mask and gloves, even if you are feeling well.

Best practice, for your safety and ours, is to wait in your car.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Appointment Protocol

When you arrive to the clinic, please call us from your car to let us know youโ€™ve arrived. We will then take a history over the phone.

If the shop is not busy, we will give you the go ahead to bring your pet to the door. If the shop is busy, we will call you back as soon as possible.

We will then meet you at the front door and collect your pet from you. We will be wearing full personal protective equipment (PPE), for your safety and ours. We will then ask that you wait in your car if possible, rather than our waiting area.

We will bring your pet into the consultation room, where our vet and vet nurse will carry out a full clinical examination.

We will then ring you to ask anymore questions we might have, to discuss our findings with you, and to go through any recommended diagnostic tests or treatments.

Once weโ€™ve carried out any sampling/tests, and/or given any treatment, we will ring you again so you can come back to the door to collect your pet and arrange payment.

Please note all our surfaces in the consultation room and in the reception area are regularly disinfected.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Calling to the clinic for products or services?

If you or anyone in your household is self- isolating due to displaying clinical symptoms of Covid-19, or due to having tested positive for Covid- 19, or due to you having been in contact with someone who has tested positive, please inform us, for our safety, and yours.

No accompanying adults or children are permitted into the shop at this time. Please plan ahead for this.

Thank you.
